Follow up review after a few months. The mechanism for removing and locking in the backrest is miserable at best. It failed and I had to remove the nut that I thought was holding on the locking flange, but after removal of the nut, the flange stayed in place. Great, now I can't get the backrest off. I was final able to turn the locking mech. after prying it out a little bit. On the other side, the mechanism just spins around completely with no stops. I have to say, as time goes on, I become less satified with the more expensive Kuryakyn products. |
Looks Great! For $72 you would think that that the timing cover would fit better. Hope it doesn't fall off someday. I check it often.
Yep they look the business and install in five minutes putting that extra chrome sparkle where needed.
It works what more can I say but like all the other reviews you need to stick down the top as its very flimsily. I mounted it down the fork tunnel as it is on the picture but unfortunately when I turned the forks fully it broke the top off. Check the clearance before you finally stick it on. I wouldn't have it anywhere to visible as it looks cheep and adds nothing from an appearance point of view to the bike but what do you expect for small money. Would be a great addition if they made one a little more upmarket with a chrome casing.
Great product and appears to be excellent quality. I say appears as you never know until you have a few thousand miles up but they look and feel good, easy install and give a finished look to the pipes
These are a must and well worth the money. They not only protect those expensive fog lights but also stop the wind blowing through the lower cowl.
These are very well made. They are very sturdy and give a secure, solid feeling when in use. Make sure you use locktite blue when securing the clamp screws. I didn't and found one side had come loose. Overall, I'm very impressed, they complement the bike.
Nice to keep in the trunk for spares. Made by big bike.
These are well made, reinforced as advertised. A good value compared to the Hondaline items. I had a a hondaline set of bags for my old 1500 and I'd say that these are as well or better made.
Great floorboards. Instructions were OK and install only took 30 minutes. Plastic striker plates are disappointing and will not endure more than a couple touchdowns. I'm replacing mine with some homemade stainless ones.
Very nice rack for light weight gear. I added the larger star washers to spread out whatever I put on the plastic. Smooth install with good instructions. However, drilling your trunk makes you pucker... Tripple check your alignment and drill small pilot holes.
Had ours just over a year and still going strong. As simple of a switch as it gets. Plug it in. That's it. Eventually we will upgrade to the J&M with p.t.t./on-off/volume control when we get the CB radio, but that is a few dollars down the road.
