this is one of those perfect pieces that should come with the bike from the start. buy it, you won't regret it.
I ordered the mount, with 3 holders and 3 telescoping flag poles. I love them!
Wasn't sure about this at first. I thought the shark teeth would be enough but that front edge cried out for something special. Glad I did it. For those that have decreased near vision, use a pointed piece of tape to highlight the center ridge of the fender and you'll get it on dead center on the first shot.
Ditto on all other comments. Worth getting two and replace engine and drive plugs at the same time. Good value.
Great little unit in hard case. Lots of options for electrical attachment. Easy to store with toolkit and tyre plug kit. Watch the amp rating if using with accessory outlet as this could blow a fuse. better to run direct from battery.
Pretty comprehensive kit. Need pliers to pull plug through. Does not come with kit but these are standard in wing toolkit. Haven't had to use yet but good piece of mind. Also bought the mini compressor as well from this site.
Definately recommend watching the video which makes the fitting process really easy. Steve Saunders Goldwingfacts webpage is the place to go. Great range of adjustment and no problems for driver or passenger getting on or off. Love the little detachable bag at the back great for the digital camera. I also got a custom wool cover to match the seat cover from good wool store in Australia.

I like the rack, its looks and chrome quality. Lighter than I expected which is good. HOWEVER One leg was shorter than the other, which I did not notice until after it cracked my trunk lid. I used the supplied washers for the front and star washers for the back legs. Installed it one afternoon, the next morning (with no miles) I found cracks around one leg. Upon removing it to try and figure out what the hey, I noticed it did not sit level. Wish I had checked that first. Before mounting your rack, place it on a known perfectly level surface such as a kitchen counter or plate of steel (don't trust your garage floor to be level) and make sure the leg lengths are the same. Then check and make sure the angles for the trunk are correct. Put masking tape on the trunk surface to protect it and set the rack on the lid making sure all four legs touch evenly and the angles are correct. Other than this issue I like the rack and will continue with it. Will be getting a replacement from WingStuff, hope it is correct. |

The luggage rack was on my bike when I bought it, so I am not sure the Manufacturer. I think it's a Kuri. This DID NOT even come close to fitting my 1500 rack. It looks as if it will fit the 1800 Kuri rack fine, but not mine. The big velcro on the bottom does line up, and the 4 velcro loop straps don't line up to nothing either. The rack is a little narrower than the bag. The bag seem nice, it just doesn't fit the rack on my 1500, and it says "universal" |
easy to install, but the bolts are to short if you have armrest already installed, other than that ,took about 20 min.
I bought a heel rest, other than it being a bit high for the right heel, helps foot pain the way I sit, very easy to install, other than the screws not being the same size driver 5mm instead 6mm.
Received windshield with vent kit. Very easy to install. The vent kit did not come with instructions, but it was easy to figure out and installed it without any problems
