what a rip off. the only change is shape so you have to buy this with headset I bought. The other set I bought hooked tight up to my helmet and it cost less than half shame on j$m for ripping people off like that. Also had bent pin that I had to straighten out that's when I tried other cord and found it to work fine. Will never buy J&M products again just because of them ripping off people. their stuff is good but so are others.
bought 20 oz. and it was easy to install but when full fluid will siphon out of straw and vent covers so you can't fill to the top without wearing a little later. all-in-all not bad.
I replaced my stock Dunlops at 29000 Km (18000 miles)with the Avon Cobra's and what a difference. I'm running 41 lb front and 42 rear as Avon recommends. Virtually all tar seam tracking has disappeared and I have had no incidence of the rear breaking out when putting the boards down. There is virtually no tire hum and I can hear the engine much more clearly. I used to have a slight wobble at about 180 Km which got progressively worse (yes I know the speed limits, but hey, one has to find out don't they?) and I can now go all the way to 220 Km before it starts. Would I buy them again? In a minute!

Easy install. They don't seem as bright to me as OEM bulbs and I am hoping that it is a matter of getting adjusted to the ytpe of light it puts out. I don't do much night riding so maybe it does not matter anway. The slight blue tint gives a new look, if nothing else. |
I have been riding and racing bikes along time and this is one of the best improvement in handling you can make. I have installed these on bikes since the early 80's. Made huge difference in my wing's handling.

Packaging was very good with protective film front and back. Install was as expected on a 2002 model. Watch out for rubber grommets behind lock down bar bolts, had to remove glove box to find them in the faring.(not mentioned in instructions) Spent most time removing old adhesive from original contact strip. After cleaning, wipe with acetone so new strip stays put. Did not have a problem with the factory installed vent as mentioned in other reviews. The F4 is a bit more rigid that OEM which seems to make high speed wind buffeting less noticeable. Can't opine on durability since just installed but so far really like the product. |
Medium fits my 2008 wing. Great product. Before using it - anything after 2-hours was literally a pain in the butt. Recently rode 550 miles and no butt pain. It works as advertised.
fit is perfect, they look great, had mine three years now ,trunk lights are failing a second time already and of course you must buy a complete kit to replace grrrrrrrr, they really have their heads up their ***** with type of replacement policy..
Sorry about my spelling and typos below (my original post) - I did not proof read before posting - silly me
The jury is still out but things are not looking good for the Avon CObra tires. Just had them pul on this past week and today I actually took the bike out for a shake down ride. What a crappy ride. At slow to moderate speeds the tires feel and handle well. I was out on a back county road that has a 5 mile or so straight away. So I brought the bike up to speed. At 85mph I notised a slight but noticable front end wobble. At triple digits the speed wobble was very pronounced. I backed off the speed and once below 80 things were smoothe sailing. Heading back home I jumped on the interstate and again brought the bile up to speed. Again above 85 I experienced a high speed wobble again. The bike will be going back to the shop on Tuesday (only because they are closed on Monday's) for a inspection. But like said it's not looking good. Might be making a call back to WingStuff for an exchange. I'm not a happy camper
I had the dealer install mine before I even arrived to pick it up. I hated scrubbing the bugs off the paint and this makes cleaning the front easy.
This cover works great, kept the sap off of my bike, but now I have to clean the cover. I recommend you put a small rag over the antennas because the cover during install usually scraps and has created a small hole or two in mine. Once the cover is in place, the antenna portion has a built in cloth to protect from cuts.
