Why does anyone make a item like this and use plastic screws? Both sides have broken off at highway speed so I'm left with holes in my cycle. Baker should replace them and use metal screws.
I noticed rust when I opened the bag receiving it. I have not installed it and probably won't either.
I did not have to remove the muflers. This hitch did not fit perfectly. I coule not replace the rear mudguard, so I had to rework it a little bit. It was worth it in the end. I will buy it again, even though it was no bolt-on!
update I did have to use it,I had a flat miles from help it worked like a charm saved my butt, it payed for itself with one use, worth its weight in gold
I have found the Dyna beads to ease the ride. It took me much longer to install them than I had envisioned - if you are very patient and let the beads roll down the tube in a thin trickle - they will. Take the valve out of the stem - fill up the applicator bottle = attach the filler tube and gradually pour the beads down the tube - don't let the beads back up - pour slow and they'll go!!! You may occasionally have to tap the tube if they start to back up.
These are great boots. I know fit is a personal issue but these fit me very well. A bit stiff but they broke in quickly. Coldest wx so far was low 50's and they stayed warm with just a pair of white tube socks. I could spend more but I doubt I'd find a pair I liked better.
Great boots - period. I know I could spend more but I doubt I could find any I liked better. Fit is always a personal issue and I feel fortunate that these fit so well. Coldest riding so far has been in he low 50's and they remained warm with just a pair of white tube socks. Stiff to get into at first but they break-in quickly.
Wonderful highway pegs that go great with the 1800. Solid construction. They would rate 5 stars except the instructions are horrible. Would it be too much to ask for an exploded drawing? There's no explanation as to where the various washers go. Hope I got it right.
Had mine on for about 6 months now. So far adhesive tape is holding good and ends are sticking firmly. Nice look for the front of the bike. Bike is starting to get Kuryakynized!
Got mine before our trip to the UP. I replaced my previous one because it did not have a basket like this one so I could only hold thermal cups. Now I can hold just about any size cup or water bottle. Nice chrome and it's Kuryakyn.
Nice material & rubber backing. The saddlebag mats fit great. However, the trunk mat is an inch too big side to side, and 1 1/2 inches too big front to back. Is it that difficult to get a correct measurement of the trunk? The extra material makes it difficult to get the mat to lie flat. Overall, I'm not impressed. The package has been opened, so I can't return them. Guess I'll give them away to somebody. BTW, calling the set "deluxe" is bit of a stretch.
I installed the ISO Grips and this wider model throttle boss on the throttle side. Nice looking, but is a problem riding the tight twisty roads when you need to roll off the throttle quickly. Gets in the way and adds throttle sometimes, which can surprise you setting up in the turn! I'm going to try to put it on the other side.
