These seem well built and a small enough bundle.I hope I never have to test them!!!

ok put it on an 07 my buddy a mc mechanic did most of the work it went well except a little sqeezing and pinching to get the bolts on the side to line up . only problem that we found was when putting it back together the rear cover would not fit in smoothly even wioth the snapping in at the bottom so beware when you install the hitch the H bolts don't put a washer and lock washer on the bottom h bolts the bolts comes out just a bit to much and the rear cover doesn't go in at the bottom easlly b.t.w the wiring harness for the harly/1800 is a snap to install plug n play good luck guys graham |
Everything went well untill it came time to put the center rear section back on bike. Panel hits head of bottom bolt on on side! Will either have to get low profile bolt or try to shift brackets to one sid ebut could run into the other side hitting! Instructions from website where very helpful vrs what came with product. Took about four hours by myself taking my time.
I put this hitch on in my shop in about one hour. Vary easy and A VARY GOOD HITCH
Very easy to Install and plugs into existing plug under left fairing storage compartment. Much cheaper than the OEM one too.

I've had mine for a number of months now, and think they work fine especially that I don't see any tire cupping or wear pattern. Also very smooth riding. However, I had a recient opportunity to run the bike up to 125 MPH and it began to vibrate pretty significantly and didn't go away going faster. Fork moving, or tire balance problem? I was surprised thinking the Centramatic Wheel Balancers would keep it smooth. |
I installed one on both front and back today. Nice, will keep all my "small stuff" organized. I previously installed a Wing Stuff lid organizer, but couldn't close the lid after putting my helmet in, so I removed it. These two nets should be just fine for me.
Nice product. Very simple to install. Well designed (2 piece)for quick and easy access for oil and filter changes. Provides a piece of mind to protect the radiator over flow tank. One of those must have type items.
Follow up review. I had to reorder these and replace 2 (had to put something in the 2 holes). I found it easier to install them if as I was pulling on the lower part with a pair of needle nose pliers I tipped the top part and got part of the grove in the upper bumper started in the hole. From there it popped it, I also used KY to lubricate the bumper so it would go in easier (hey KY can have more than one use).
Ok, it has five stars for a reason, it's the best CB option for your Wing. Once you've got it installed it's basically flawless. Make sure you do the SWR adjustments. Will need to go to Radio Shack to get the right connectors for the hook up, but I remember the cost was less than $20 for everything.
Challenging install, but if you get it right, it's rock solid. I installed it by myself, could have used an extra hand, but the final bolt going in sure did make me feel good. Looks great and it's a strong hitch for the money.
I give it five stars because I've had zero problems with it and it looks excellent. It's secure and strong. I know some who say you need to use the larger washers, but I've installed the ones that came with it and abuse it regularly and not a single ill affect. One of the first items I installed and still going strong after over two years on the bike.
