Easy to install and the finish it first rate. If you are going to do a SWR on it, the connections will be under the seat and you can get RCA to RS 232 adaptors at Radio Shack to adapt it to any SWR meter.
Installation was fairly easy, however I am good with tools. When I had to drill the hole for the wires to go through the trunk, to loosen the 2 bolts in the front completely and then just losen the back ones you can lift the front of the trunk and put a 1x2 board under it to drill the hole. As it is the front two bolts in the bottom of the trunk hold the bottom of the antenna mounts. Good time to do the air filter if you have not done it yet.
This bag is very roomy, and never leaked water even during a heavy rain and snow storms while caught out in the middle of no where. I grade the attachement as very good but difficult to quickly apply and remove. The stitching on my bag didn't last even one year. I don't know if that is consistant with other buyers but Wingstuff replaced this with a Kuryakyn bag at no additional charge to me. I love Wingstuff customer support. I would have stayed with this bag but they were out of stock and I needed a new top bag asap for another trip. Only four stars because of the poor quality stitching in more than one area of the bag. Also had little to no sun exposure and very few miles on it before it ripped at the stitched seams. None of the material or zipper had any issues which tend to make me believe the bag is still a good quality bag just the thread in my bag was not so good.
This is a must have for the serious Wing rider. If you are going to travel 500 or more miles a day this will end your back aches. I just completed a trip from the West to East Coast and had no back pain what so ever. Before I couldn't go more than a few hours before the pain was agonzing. The installation is very easy with the given instructions. Just make sure you take your time and trial fit everything so you understand how it is all going to work before you start cutting into your stock seat. When it is all said and done this backrest looks stock. I can't say enough good things about this backrest. Of all the upgrades I have made to my Wing (which are considerable) this has to be the most important upgrade for comfort.
If your going to chrome your Wing's lower anatomy you can't leave these out. They are a simple bolt on to the bottom of the passenger floor boards. They really help complete the overall chrome lower look. I chromed the entire lower on my 2001 Wing including the wheels and everyone thinks my Wing is brand new.
These are great looking, and simple to install. They have held up very well after ten thousand miles. No loss of gloss. Just unbolt your old mounts and these plug right into place.
I had some minor defects on the bottom of my fender. This was so easy to peel and stick and really dressed up the fender while covering the damage. The outside edges do have to be held in place for a while to set as the wrap is not a very tight fit.
The chrome kickstand definantly adds some flair to the Wing since all lower surfaces and wheels are now chrome. I haven't had any problems with the chrome discoloring or peeling. No rust on the bottom either after ten thousand miles of use.
These are easy to install in just about any position on your crash bars. I am very tall so I mounted them pretty low. The only problem with that is on very low leaning turns is some scraping. Not enough of a problem to have me move them but they are getting a bit banged up after a ride down the Pacific Coast Highway twisties.
Very easy to install and keep clean. Wipes easy using Plexus polish to keep from scratching. Being where it is it will collect a lot of road grime. A quick wipe with a soft polishing cloth fixes that problem easily. Be cautious when applying becuase once it sticks in place you can't re-align it.
Very easy to install. Instant dress up for your Wing. The covers will scratch pretty easily when removing and replacing your side covers so be careful with that. I have over ten thousand miles on my covers now. They are showing some minor wear but you have to be close to see it.
K & N Air filters are a good option for a high quality replacment filter. I have them in all my vehicles. They are easy to clean and I get a little better gas mileage as well.
