Reading the reviews for this product and the rating it had, I decided to buy it with looking forward to adding this accessory to my Wing 2005. I'm an engineer by trade and I know about designs and manufacturing. I can tell you this, as I tried to install it, one of the center tabs just broke off. I was so pissed off!!!! After carefully analysing it, I noticed that the design of the tabs does not provide a stress relief to allow some flexing of the tabs as you insert them into the slots. Not having this feature,like a passive hinge,makes this part very prone to failure. You will run the risk of breaking off the small plastic tabs very easily. They seemed very brittle to me as well. Furthermore, this Part is NOT user friendly when removing from its packaging. I just spend $54.00 in junk. Therefore, for all you bikers interesed in this part, I encourage you NOT to invest in purchasing this item. I wish I could get my money back!!!!! |
| Mine came with four long screws that wont fit the hole. Maybe they had a mistake. Looks good but gave me the hassle to look for the screws so the minus 1 star. But funtions very well. Will still recommend highly. I hope the people packaging this will pay more attention to the screws before they ship to the customer. |
| I too have had problem's with these cables...fix a problem on drivers helmet now needing to replace same cable on passenger connection. Which I could find another supplier that provides a better quality product.If you buy the J&M headset series pick up a few of these cause you will need them after about 6mo to a year of use. |
| Bought a new wing and thought I would save a few dollars using the IMC headsets but found the volume very low even when cranked all the way up. First thought it was a problem with my audio system but I had a old set of J&M headsets from my first wing and they worked great. Will stay with J&M. |
| I have been looking for a really classic looking chrome trim piece for the trunk key hole and this was just perfect! It blows the other products I was considering completely out of the water. I am so glad I waited until this one was available. Really dresses up the key area. |
| They were so easy to install and makes the bike pop just that much more! I did not evene have to take off the highway boards to install. Excellent product. |

| Got it today - works perfectly! True plug and play - all noise is gone with no reduction in volume. |

| After using J&M for years on a previous Goldwing, I thought I would try to save some money using these IMC headsets. The sound was ok but the volume had to be set on the highest setting to get reasonable sound. Thought maybe I had an audio problem with my new Goldwing. Swapped out with some old J&M headsets I had and learned it was the IMC headsets and not my audio system. I will be staying with J&M. Prices are high but quality is more important to me. |
