| Update on this product I gave this 4 stars due to weak wiring harness near the lights themselves. I learned that they can come on done from the connections near the lights when pulled on or any kind of tug from regular wear closing the saddlebags many times over even if you have the wire tied down correctly. I used my own splice addaptors to fix the problem. If you have a side that goes out for no apparent reason that means you have a loose or broken connection. No big deal don't buy another set wear you can just find the bad connection and fix it yourself for just a couple of bucks. Otherwise a great product makes the bike standout. |
| Just another great product.Make sure you prefit and clean before installing,Had to remove gearside floorboards to finish the install on that side.clearance of the floorboards to tight. I'm very happy with the look. You will not need to replace the Weld covers. Just store them somewhere else just in case you have to go back to original framework look. |
| Nice product, was a little tight on the mounting to side panel but suggest tightening very slow and careful. Makes the bike stand out alot. |
| Like these pegs. Heavy and feel real durable. One thing that stopped me when I took them outta the box was you need SAE Allen Wrenches. Got Metric for the Wing, and I dont understand why they were constructed using SAE. So had to go buy new ones. Also the directions are not that great but the video helped a lot. Now to get the right adjustment for my legs. |

Revamping my earlier review. After a few hundred miles or so, the floorboards become loose and "wiggle" back and forth .. making riding with them uncomforatable, not to mention somewhat dangerous. Even after using some lock tite, the boards still wiggled back and forth. I took them off and am back on the stock pegs .. much more comfortable riding with these. Nice try Kuryakyn, but I would let these wait until further testing can be done. |
| This is another addendum to my original review. These units call for a thread lock to be used on the special bolts threaded into the fairing so that the screws afixing the wind wings hardware will break loose separately. BE VERY VERY CAREFUL WITH WHAT YOU USE FOR A THREAD LOCK! I took my bike to a dealer for some warrantee work and they managed to break all four tabs off the fairing lowers. I used blue thread lock and had no problems with removing the screws for maintenance with an allen key but they used an air ratchet and the extra torque ruined my lowers. This is not Quantum's fault but I can see where it may be repeated. |
| Install is fairly straight forward and well planned out. The product works as stated and my only complaint is to do with the instructions. They reference a "green" Hitachi connection on the Wings wiring harness. I have an 08 Wing and mine was red. It cost me about 10 minutes of screwing around looking for something that did not exist. The connection you are looking for is in a medium sized boot along with the connection for the Ipod connection in the left fairing pocket. The FireCreek wiring harness supplied makes provision to add an additional plug in should you need it for something else. Take care when installing the actuator. I had to loosen the windshield slides and make sure there was sufficient space between the upper and lower to clear the actuator base. 1 star off for the misleading instructions. |
| If you have a passenger who is vertically challenged, these are THE best accessory you can add for comfort on the long haul. My wife stands 5' 3" on a good day and often complained of thigh pain after a long ride. I bought these just before our 3,200 mile trip to Key West last month. In a word, she was THRILLED with the new addition. I don't care about the need to harvest the old spring and ball bearing from the stock floor boards. No big deal in my book. Also, these ship with a repair kit containing replacement parts and glue in the event you lose the rubber tabs. The only negative might be the weight of these heavy duty puppies. They probably add 6 pounds to the bike. One could also count this as a plus noting they are way more "beefy" than the original aluminum stock floor boards. THey are pricey . . . even more so since I bought them a month ago. Still, they are the perfect match for the lady needing added comfort on long trips. Happy wife . . . Happy life!! |

This has to be the Best Bang for the Buck. Great look, ease of installation and price. Home run. Double the stars for this one. |

LedetX5 nailed this one. The tape should cover the length of the part!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, it sure does add a nice look on the trunk. Had to keep my local dealership open so I paid the additional $5.00 and bought it at the shop. |

WoW, Great buy. I think I just shat myself. |

The install was fairly easy and the nose mask gives the bike a new look. AWESOME PRODUCT!!! I own a 2007 and a little hint on the installation. There is a part that says to remove the trim pieces on both sides, well all you need to do is undo the pieces up to the bend in the trim, slide the tab in between the trim peice and the body of the bike, then snap the trim back in place. I figured this out on the second side. So far the easiest thing I have instaslled on my bike yet. |
