I thank all the positive reviews before me. I put these on with a change of tires(Conti's). I have been using dyna beads and switched over to these. If you use a tire changer and use the lube to slick up the wheel and tire to assist getting the tires mounted, I didn't want any issues with dyna beads sticking to the lube inside the wheel. Very smooth ride on back roads and the interstate.
Got these grips when I bought my '08 new in '08 because I liked the IsoGrips so well on my 1500. Today was about the 5th time to try to install. Got a tip from a vendor last year on how to pull the sides together. You make a tourniquet with some cord and short piece of dowel, which gives even pressure all around. Well still no luck. Called Kury. I now know why. The dealer installed the grips so they are not factory. These grips will ONLY work with heated grips from the factory, not even if it's Hondaline. Now I can only try to find someone to sell them to that has factory heated grips. Too late for me to work something out with dealer, and I guess I cannot blame Kury.

Super easy install and the look is great. Probably the most reasonably priced piece of chrome/plastic and worth every cent. Combined these with the Kury chrome frame covers, floorboard side covers and scuff covers and the look is a knockout. Much better than the standard dull Honda look. Work the bucks.
Combined these with the Kury chrome frame covers, passenger floorboard covers and scuff covers and the look is great. Way better than the standard dull Honda look. Easy install and all the screw holes lined up perfectly.
Added these along with chrome scuff covers, chrome passenger floorboard and floorboard side covers and the look is awesome. Expensive for plastic but you gotta fork out the bucks if you want the look. Easy to install and all the screw holes lined up without any issues.
Okay, let me say the "lower" rating is not because the pegs were hard to put on...or don't look great. I gave them a low rating because after installing them I found out you'd have to be 5' tall for them to be comfortable on the GL1800 (I'm 5'10"). My knees are bent up under my chin ;) Now I need to spend more $ to get the short arms. A better product description could have prevented me from having to spend more of my hard earned dollar(s).
I put a set of these Avons on my 08 GL1800 and have run them 10,000 miles. They do not look worn out at all, however there is a big crack in the rubber (you can see the cords) on my rear tire. I just installed a new set of the same tires on the bike today. I only give the tires 4 stars because they have worn a little faster than the Dunlop E3 tires that came on the bike, and it looks like the split in the rubber is a crack and not caused by something cutting it. The tires have not cupped and have been very good to ride on except for more noise than the Dunlops. I'm not sure which tires I will buy when this set is worn out. I'll see if the new set acts like the other set and make a decision then.
These poles are great they don't bend your antennas and are rock solid. I got one for each side and put flags on both. Easy install nothing to it.
Look great and I would have given these a 5 star rating however there was one small problem. Kuryakyn put two right side pegs in the box and 0 left side. No problem right? WRONG! I called Kuryakyn after talking with Cameron at Wing Stuff who suggested they may have a left side peg they could ship out quickly to fix the problem. The first customer service rep (I now use that term VERY loosly about Kuryakyn) said they did indeed have a left side peg they could ship out to me but he would have to get his managers' okay. The manager(here in after known as the "idiot who should be fired") said that since I ordered the product through Wing Stuff/Cycle Giant they could fix the problem. It seems that Kuryakyn wants your money but is in no way interested in customer care (I'm fairly certain they have no clue what that term means) or fixing a problem that THEY created in the first place. He had no intention of seeing to my problem even though they had the part I needed and could ship it out. It was clear I was getting no where with "The Idiot" so I re-contacted Wing Stuff. Folks the apologies were not only swift but incredibly sincere. Cameron got an entire new set of the Switchblade Highway Pegs, checked the box himself to be certain there was a left side peg in it and had it shipped out immediately. Cameron saved the day for me. I'm not entirely surprised because thats WING STUFF folks. They know and believe in CUSTOMER CARE. Kuryakyn needs to send their people to Wing Stuff/Cycle Giant for intense training classes. I'll think long and hard before ordering ANYTHING that has Kuryakyn on it unless it comes from Wing Stuff. Well truth be known I don't order from anyone except Wing Stuff and this is why. I've spent thousands of dollars fixing up my beloved Goldwing and Wing Stuff is and will be the ONLY source for me. Thanks again Cameron you saved it for me buddy, hope you heal quickly and completely. Thanks Rick for a far superior customer staff than any other company I've ever dealt with, they talk the talk and then walk the walk. Hope to see all you guys at Wing Ding. 5 STARS for Wing Stuff/Cycle Giant, 0 STARS for Kuryakyn.
The Kuryakyn Louvered Scuff Covers just add another finishing touch to my GL1800 Goldwing. Easy to install - looks fantastic gives it that little extra pizzazz and all you need is a few minutes, and a Phillips head screwdriver.
