I bought these to install on my new motorcycle, and found the installation to be simple, and the adjustments can fit most any rider from 5'10" on up. Very happy with the end result.
Like the looks, but like the other reviewers, it wraps around the pole. Also, how do you get the tip off so you can replace the flag...or do you?
Great product. I installed the HPS on my 2009 and was extremely happy until I totalled the bike on the Penn Turnpike. I will be getting a 2012 in a week and a half and will purchase another to see if it will work on a 2012 (fingers crossed). If anyone has already done this, please share for others.
Nice update and very easy to install...
I don't know all the differences from the earlier generation, but I really like the stops so I'm glad I paid a little more and got these newer ones. It is just easier to turn them to the stop for full-on summer ventilation mode. These do make more of a difference that I expected, both closed and the good surprise for me is open, when I want MORE wind.
Super easy install less than 2 hrs to install, the downloaded instructions were very helpful especially the pictures, the only comments I would add are, on my 2001 Goldwing I didn't loosen the mufflers as called out in the instructions, the forward hitch arms (with some slight outward prying of the side bag mounts)slid into there location, also I replaced the 2 original bolts that are to be reused for the forward hitch arm & side bag mount, with M8-1.25 X 30 flange bolts, this allows for almost 3/4" of threads into the frame, I also replaced the 2 lower bolts on the "H" bracket with low head profile stainless steel cap screws, the bolts from the kit chafed on the rear plastic center fender. A very solid install.
Real easy installation; but took a little longer cause I have a trike kit on my gl 1800. But it was nothing a dramil couldnt handle. Made a duplicate on cardboard; cut it out; trased it on the front part of belly pan and it was all over. So it will go on a trike and if I might say; it looked like it came that way, Ride on.
Install was a piece of cake.. Took about 45 mins and had to do it twice because I forget to install the speed nuts on two locations... Holes all lined up and it looks great..
Same USA mfr as the states flags- appears to be of good construction & durability
Initial impression of flag is one of quality & durability. It does state in the mounting instructions that its intended for use at 'moderate' speeds, whatever that general term means ;-) Time & miles will tell, but appears to be of durable fabric & construction.
A little more bling for the front of the trike. Quick and easy to install. The only bad thing is now I want to add more accents to go along with them.
