Based on reviews here and recommendations from others, I purchased this when I bought my wing from Wingstuff. They didn't have it in stock, so it was dropp-shipped to me. It arrived yesterday, and thanks to the detailed videos, written instructions (2 sets included) with photos, and comments from forums, I was able to install this windshield myself. If I can do it, ANYONE can. My wife, who has virtually no experience with motorcycles, said that after watching the video she felt she could do the install. Be SURE to use the rag to prevent the nut from dropping into "the abyss". Those nuts seem to be attracted to the open areas. The windshield arrived in excellent condition, with both foam padding and a protective plastic layer on the shield. The most impressive part of this windshield is the clarity. It is optically very close to glass or high-end plastic such as that used for eyeglasses. I can see clearer through it than any other windshield I've ever had on a motorcycle. The second most impressive is the cleaning. It cleans better with Windex and paper towels than it does with the microfiber I used. This is a classic case of you-get-what-you-pay-for. In my not-so-humble-opinion, the F4 is easily worth the difference in price! Apparently they really know what the term "customer service" means too (see rating below mine), which seems rare these days. |

I bought these for my wife, even though she has never ridden yet on the wing. As far as I can tell, Kuryakyn has changed these to where all you do is take off the old ones and put on the new ones. I installed these start-to-finish in about 10 minutes, using a metric hex wrench I bought at Harbor Freight & a rubber mallet hammer. Not even a video needed & if I can do it, ANYONE can! These are a LOT heavier than the OEMs, which are aluminum and plastic that looks like aluminum. I'm not necessarily into chrome, but these sure do look nice! And I KNOW my honey will love them! It helped justify the Kury saddlebag and trunks lights I bought with it. Nice product! |
| Nice little item that should provide some protection for the remote. Time will tell the tale re durability, but others report being pleased with it so my fingers are crossed. |

I've had a similar experience. My J&M headset is only six months old and the cord has been erratic with one or more broken wires for at least a month. I'm satisfied with the J&M headset but this upper section hook up cord does not seem very durable. |
| Well I have to agree that this was a pain in the butt to install. Is it worth the $60. No. Do I like it, yes. I don't need flood lights for my trunk. I bought this because I ride my bike to work all the time and in the mornings it's still dark when I get there. We have no parking lot lights. This light make plenty of light to see in my trunk and place my gloves in the overpriced hondaline net. The last thing I want at 5:30am is a bright light blinding me from my trunk. For the price of these bikes, I agree, it should be included. |
| HAVE USED FOR 6 YEARS GREAT BAG!! NO RAIN GETS IN ALL STAYS DRY. |
| They are not a hard install once you have the directions and they do work great. Mine came with the directions for an install on a 1500 (I have an 1800). When I called the company they were very polite and said they would email me the correct instructions. They emailed me very quickly THE WRONG ONES! I called them back and said that I did not get some of the parts on the instruction sheet. They then started to argue with me. Another person gets on the phone and asks what parts am I talking about and I tell her. She says those parts are no longer being supplied why am I asking for them and I tell her I am looking at the instruction sheet just emailed to me minutes ago. That was when she realized that another mistake had been made. Within the hour I had the correct installation sheet and was able to easily perform the install. Giving 4 stars not because of a problem with the product but because of poor office quality control. |
| Easy install and looks great! Not too much but instead looks like it belongs. |
| Really easy install and I am no mechanic. I got the 20 oz. I saw the large one and it just seemed like it would take up too much space on my dash. I used it for the first time yesterday going to work. I did not have to grab the cup out of the holder as when installed it is high enough for me to lean over and take a sip from the straw. My kid saw it and instantly said "wow, it matches your bike". |
| Looks great when new. I keep my bike in a garage, and I wash it often. After 3 years and 4,000 miles, its not shiny any more. The chrome paint has faded and some of it has chipped off in a short time. Just a warning. Dont count on this looking very good over time. |
| Already had something on my Goldwing fender so I put this on my son's VTX1300R. It fit perfect & looks awesome. |
| I read all the reviews and believed the comments about good sound, etc. However, the sound quality is not even close to what I would call good (at least for music). There is no low end and the highs are tinny, especially at volume. I called J&M for tips on how to improve it. They said move them closer (obvious fix) but that did not help much. Compared to an older J&M elite set these are poor quality. Of course, once I have opened the package and installed it Wingstuff says I can't return it... So I am stuck with it. Disappointed with the "Staff pick" and disappointed with Wingstuff on this one as they usualy provide great service. I understand that they can't take 100s of these back but when its a "Staff pick" I guess I expect more. Save your money and get the Elite headsets. |
