Installed for the wife lost the cup on first trip. You have to keep a level in cup so it doesn't fly out. I talked with Rita at Glass Act and she send me a replacement cup at no cost. They run a great company and will buy again for the next bike. Had them on all four wings but first time for the passenger they are worth the cost. Just wish that they came in different colors.

Install was easy ...the only thing needed was metric allen wrenches. I had it installed in 20-30 minutes. It still seems to have some low speed wobble but it may be due to the fact that I need a new front tire also. We will see how it is after the front tire is installed with dyna beads. |

JUST SWITCHED FRONT TIRE ON GL1800 FROM E3 TO METZLER. DUNLOP WAS SLIPPERY ON GROVED PAVEMENT, LIKED TO FOLLOW THE GROOVES. IMMEDIATELY NOTICED BIKE WANTS TO STAND UP ON TURNS. HAD NITROGEN BUMPED FROM 40-45 AND HELPED BUT CANT BELIEVE THIS BIKE TAKES MORE EFFORT TO TURN NOW? HAVE NEW DUNLOP ON THE BIKE (400 MILES ON IT). CHANGED TO METZLER ON FRONT HOPING FOR BETTER CORNERING INSTEAD OF LOOSE. ANY CLUES? |
It's pretty much what they say it is. Easy install and looks/works good. Pricey for a cup holder, but what are you going to do? Could have gone with something cheaper but did not want to cheapen the looks of my Wing with some flimsy plastic thing.
I just received these and installed them in about 20 minutes. The pegs are constructed of heavy duty material and are fairly straightforward to install. My wife tried them and said they seem to give her a little more room to move her foot position. I give the construction 5 stars but the overall use a 3 based on expectations not met.
A very nice holder, but I did not think far enough ahead to realize that the backrest that I have mounted through the rear seat handle hole creates a mounting problem for me. After a slight modification I was able to complete the install and this is working out great.
i must say this is one of the most if not the best add on yet she can be comfortable just like you they look great an are very rider friendly their really better than the transformers you get to streach out more great product sorry wing stuff i didnt buy from you desplains honda had them on the shelf....
Gives the goldwing a very nice look, and a very easy instal. I give it a four because the box had been opened and the only thing in the box was the covers and the supply list of what should of been on the box.
Finally came out with some new, very nice shirts. To bad there over priced.
After drilling the holes with the supplied templates I at first had difficulty in trying to get the rubber bumpers through the holes - the directions state that it will be difficult. I tried silicon spray lubricant and saliva as suggested but still no luck without worrying about tearing the nipple off while trying to pull them through and prodding them from the other side. What worked was spraying the bumpers AND the hole with the silicon and they installed without great effort. Also I did not have to cut the bumpers at all. The top closes snugly but it does close. The remote still works fine. I can now see the gap between the lid and main trunk is larger and will hopefully prevent wear especially if you have a load on the rack.
good instunctions to install. (remember to clean all bolts and screws before new lock tite). Like peace of mind knowing that tires will stay balanced. cont smooth ride after several thousand miles.
The absolute best handling and performance up grade you can make. Have had Metzger, Dunlop and now Bridgestone’s. Replaced factory Dunlop’s at about 14,000. Have 23,000 (in one year) now and looks like they will go well beyond Dunlop’s.
