Have used a lot the two pockets make it great for the passenger. fits snug on the bike do enjoy having the extra space on long runs
I still think these are a little bit to flimsy where the screw mounts the pivot but have to upgrade the status because of Big Bike's response to my complaint. After some discussion and me sending them a picture of the poles they are replacing them free of charge. To me a company that will stand behind their product is worth it's weight in gold. (or chrome as the case may be)
After installing the Hondaline chrome pivot covers and chrome passenger highway pegs the bottom covers on the passenger floorboards looked very dull. After installing these, the side area looks very nice.Easy install nice results.
I insalled this a couple of years ago and waited on the review to see how the finish held up. Well it looks as good as when I installed it. It's no harder to put on than the stock item (unfortunately it's no easier either). The chrome does look much better than the stock gray one and it makes me wash the bike more because it show's the dirt (not a bad thing). If you do get one of these make sure you buy a front fender extension to help keep it clean.
I think this is the first thing I bought for the wing, I had a lot of stuff rolling arond in my trunk. I use it to hold sunglasses, towel, windshield cleaner, bungee cords, and oh yeah, my wife uses it to hold her hair brush and other products to freshen up after a ride. It does make it impossible to put two full face helmets in the trunk though. I dont think its the fault of the organizer though, its just the nature of the beast.
I got one of these for when the wing takes its long winters nap. Just hook it in to the bikes connector and plug it in. The monitor light lets you know its working and if there are any problems. When spring finally gets here, just disconnect and I'm ready to roll.
Installed these in a matter of minutes. Wow, what a difference, they really brighten up the side of the wing. Much better than the stock gray ones from the factory.
I've had my F4 for over two years. It has some minor pitting and scratches, better than my OEM lexan, but I was hoping it be more pit/scratch resistent than it is - I mean it's not like I've been riding it through a Sahara dust storm in the Temple of Doom or anything. It has held up well to various cleaning solutions and rags that occasionally have to be resorted to when the situation requires it. My biggest complaint would be that the location of the vent hole on their OEM replacement: it is not located in the same place as your stock OEM lexan! Yes, the top of the F4 cutout is 11" from the top while Honda's OEM is 10" That means if you try to put the windshield in the lowest position, your vent will come in contact and be resting on your padded dash. Not good. Riding like that will definitely wear through the leather/vinyl over time. Perhaps they've addressed that problem since I bought mine but if you like to look over like I do and keep your shield in the lowest notch you're not going to be happy. Since I got mine I ride mostly in notch two to spare the dash.
I ordered this product and it arrived much quicker than expected. It sat on my work bench for about a week (due to having to drill holes in the trim) before I attempted to install it. I measured two or three times and then drilled a pilot hole and then the big hole. First hole was scary, after that all the others were a piece of cake. Install was easy and they work very nice. Should have done this a long time ago. I recomend them highly.
lots of problems lineing up to the radiator cover had to prey, bend, and trim, and had to drill a new hole for the center.after a hour and a half i got it installed. looks great, just does'nt work on a 1995 goldwing for easy installation
I purchased these for my 08 wing and they are as advertised...well built and metal. I did follow the instructions for installing and had problems with the left side adhering. I purchased additional double back tape and it worked. Seems to be holding on well and looks great.
|
Easy to install just take your time to test before you peel off the tape. I used all of the supplied tape plus extra to ensure a more even fit. I avoided placing tape on any raised areas as that would make it stand out more (not a flash fit to the body). I also decided to cut the tape into smaller pieces to make sure I really get an even fit and to make sure none of the tape is visible once fitted - and it worked beautifully. The finished result is really significant. The on-line product pictures don't do it justice. Combined with the chrome radiator mesh you get a really nice and classy finish (see my review of item# KU7329). The quality seems to be top notch. After returning from a 5,000 KM trip and with a lot of locusts and bugs, it looked as good as new after being washed. I would recommend this product to anybody. |
