Screws stripped out of the mounting holes and damaged the inside of the screw post plastic mounts inside the cover. There were no heavy items in the organizer. Save your money.
as a few of the other revies stated it is not a tight "stretchy" fit but I will tie a not or two in it and that should fix it. I mounted mine in the rear and keep my glass cleaner and waterless wash cans and cleaning rags in there. Bought it just for that purpose to keep the spray cans from rolling around. Works great for my needs.
I just rec'd this bag and have not used it but was impressed by the size and the way it fits my Kury Rack. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars and not 5 is the attachment system. I would have preffered that it have 4 snap buckles instead of the velcro on the front and loop buckles on the rear. I think it will fit my needs perfectly other than that. I will probably use a bungee just for extra measure.
I bought this stuff to protect my Wing and my vehicles. I've applied it as stated on the instructions and "baked" it in the sunlight and at 80°. It sat on my car for weeks with no ill effects and was awesome at protecting against rock chips (where applied) and was nice to peel off bug guts with it instead of scrubbing! However, during a substantial rain storm, it peeled away from the car, despite being applied as directed. Whether or not the fresh coat of was on my car affected its durability is beyond me. But otherwise, an excellent product that Wingers and the car world should take notice of and try!

When I bought these I didn't read the full description regarding them only fitting 98 to 00 GL1500's. I have made them fit my 1992 by simply removing the curclip and hinge pin from the S/S clamp, then rer-assemble the fitting around the bar. Simply replace the pin and curclip and its job done. I wasn't able to fit the black spring steel stabilizers that rest against the engine head but the S/S clamp, bolts up rock-solid to the engine bar and I don't see any forces sufficent to make it rotate on the bar. The reason to pull apart to fit is because there is not enough clearence to pass either end of the clamp through between the bar and the engine head. Now I need to go for a ride and sort out the best possition. |
the installation was easy. I was a little confused on the saddlebag lighting there were 2 green wires I think I wired the wrong one in because my break lights didn't work on the saddlebag lights I will have to switch the wires in think. but I really like how the lights and chrome look on my bike. really not that difficult to do. My buddy said he wants some for his bike. I think was a little jealous. The back of my bike is really lit up now.
I little pricey but well worth it.
I had to get this to go with the JM headset I installed.. Not all that crazy about the three connect points..Or disconnects with this headset. The one on the helmet, the one mid way down, and the one that connects to the bike..But that's just me. Over all its a good headset. The Honda line headset sound better but cost twice this so I guess it all works out...
I bought this the same time I bought my bike 2008. Installed it, had to order the spacers. It you are putting the brake light wing on your bike do it first. My bike is kept in a heated garage and never out of it except to ride it. After the first year, under the what they call chrome it looks like it is bubbling up under the chrome, I guess they they don't use enough nickel. I heard good things about Kuryakyn, I guess you can't always believe what you hear.
I bought this about 4 years ago and took it off today to bleed the clutch. This chrome just does not hold up. I noticed a year or so ago that the finish started to become rough to the feel. When I removed it, the finish at the lower front was bubbled. Unfortunately, Honda does not make one any longer and this is about the only option out there.
Just went to try fit on our CSC. It is a very nice cover, but I don't know if I'm going to be able to get it on. We have an '08 Wing with CSC conversion just done in December (Cobra XL). I have spent about 20 minutes so far, I will try some more. I called Wingstuff and was told they haven't heard of any fitment problems with our conversion. I also ordered one for a friend that has same conversion, but hasn't tried it yet. He already sent one back to J&P Cycle that didn't fit his last Fall. I will update. If I get it on rating will go to 5 star.
This item helps stop noise from wind slamming item against the bike and stops scratches too!!!!
