My first real review..I've put over 4K with this backrest. I'm not mechanical..I had it installed. The only thing, I wish i could remove it easily. Yo have to remove the bolts. Other than that.. VERY Comfortable
beautiful addition to your wing. template for drilling was accurate and brake light hookup plug and play. if you already have a luggage rack installed check the mounting location befor drilling. i had to relocate the spoiler 1/4" rearward to clear the rack mount.
I started using these on my Honda Valkyrie. Where regular weights worked when the tires are new, these work all the time as you wear out your wear. Also noticed a improvement in tire wear as I don't get the cupping anymore.
Bought this for my Honda Valkyrie. This fits on top of the brake cylinder perfectly, fits like a glove. Took about 10 minutes to install and also connect to the 3 accessories I now have the control to turn on/off.
A noticeable difference with the shifting. Also can't beat the price and that the it from Honda!
Installed them yesterday. Took us(2) about 4 hours to do the job. Included instructions were clear and easy to follow. The front is now 1.5 inches higher than the stock suspension and quite a bit more compliant over bumps. The rebound from hard braking is far better.
It's cheap so it dries out quickly, but cools as it does, like it's supposed to. Wife loves it. Just carry water and a bag to recharge it every so often.
After using this for a couple of years, it's faded a bit and when you use the side pockets extended, be careful when closing the trunk or you can bend your antennas!
I painted by rack black to match the bike. I used a large stainless steel bolt instead of the hitch ball and looks much cleaner when the bag is off the bike. I turned the bag around so the front pocket faces the bike so I can attached LED strip lighting to the bottom of the frame and be seen. The long locking bars that go through the bag and the rack are too long so I used rubber spacers to keep them from bouncing around. The locks really don't do much good because you can simply remove the two clips from the rack anchoring it to the hitch, and off it comes. I always remove it that way since it's easier and faster. A couple welds on the mesh pan are loose from the rack frame, but no big deal. The bag seems well made but I haven't had it in the rain yet. The attached rain cover looks like it would blow off. Unlike the photo, you really can pretty much still see the license plate. Tons more storage, doesn't seen to affect my handling of the bike. Just be careful with backing up clearance. Many compliments from other riders.
I use another brand of quick-release helmet strap buckles for all my helmets but I thought I'd give this one a try. It's large, lightweight plastic and doesn't seem like it would be comfortable or strong enough. I'm returning it.
Just got back from a three day one thousand mile trip following the installation of the standard riser kit. The difference was amazing with a 98% improvement in comfort. The discomfort I had been feeling in my neck and shoulders after only an hour or two of riding was gone. Hard to believe what two small pieces of machined metal and a couple of bolts can do to improve your ride. Great investment.
After buying this, looking at it and reading the instructions many times, I finally decided to tackle what I thought was going to be a major project. I enlisted the help of my wife and, together, we got 'er dun! Blue painters tape, a cloth measuring tape (to get around those curved areas), careful measuring and patience (Measure twice-drill once) provided outstanding results. It also helps to drill in the same direction as the leg with riser attached (Temp attach riser to leg with tape); no reaming required! Work together with your partner and install with no worries!
