Excellent value and a great porduct, places the air (hot or cold) right where you way it.
I bought a can of this at the local dealer one day I was having work done on the wing. I noticed the mechanic using it to clean up my bike eliminating his paw prints...lol He highly recommended it, so I bought a can. However I paid over $10.00!! I have used it alot, especially on our trip to Key West, it really does an awesome job! Reviews are right on, it even works on chrome! I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone! However I will be buying my next few cans thru wingstuff at a much cheaper rate! Thanks Wingstuff! FIVE STARS!!!
Since installing these back in May, I now have 14k miles on them. No cupping, still a beautiful smooth ride. There is an ever so slight flat spot about 2" wide evenly distrubuted around the center track of both tires...exactly what I would expect. Tons of tread left, no weird wear or "graininess" showing between treads. Again, I believe the centramatic balancers are probably assisting with this, but there aren't enough kudos to throw at these tires for hanging in there tough. At this point, I'm planning to swap to a new pair in the Spring...just because really. At this rate, 30 - 35k doesn't seem unreasonable...usually unheard of for MC tires.
I can feel air moving under my butt with this, which is a good thing in hot weather. I took it off in winter, in order to maximize my heated seat though. Long rides are much better with these beads.
2008 GL1800. I'm 6'2", 200lbs. This backrest gives me the best adjustment options for one or two up riding. It easily moves out of the way for passenger mounting and there are no irritating bars blocking the passengers legs. Installation was a little intimidating because you have to cut the seat to install the support bar but believe me, it's worth the effort.
These are all I have ever used on my 2001, oem's on the rear, EBC's on the front, perfect combination!!
As expected from Honda this is a quality product, BUT IMHO it is not sized in proportion to the 1800 trunk. Once mounted it appears much, much too small. If it had been advertised with a picture showing it mounted, as the other racks are, I would never have ordered it. My mistake, now I'll have to live with the dinky little thing till I trade bikes.
Installed these on my 09 along with a reinforced lower tree. Fantastic improvement. Better compression damping and rebound damping. I also have all balls tapered roller brgs. I shimmed my ADV and do not seem to need it now. I weigh 160 lbs and I used no shims. Like other poster said some small bumps are firm but overall a better ride. The feeling of control now when leaned over is much better. More confidence. It raised the front of my bike about 1 1/4 inches. I plan to slide the tubes up some next time I put it on the stand. That will lower the front part way back down. I have over 1000 miles on them so far. Jim GWRRA #320221
I installed these about 1 year ago. They installed in about 30 minutes and I used the blue Loctite to keep things tight. It took a couple of tries to get the brake pedal set to the desired height but that wasn't difficult. I can’t believe the difference they made in the ride and comfort level and wish I would have installed them when I first purchased my GW in 2008. After a year they still look and feel great. If there was only 1 item I was going to buy to improve the comfort of my ride, these are it.

I bought these black grips with the weighted ends about a year ago. They were relatively easy to install, they look nice and they are comfortable. Shortly after installing them I posted a review on this site which basically had these same comments and also noted that they do not get nearly as warm as the stock grips and they take longer to heat. I’m disappointed to see that review has been removed from the site. After riding with these grips for about 9 months I decided to remove them since it was getting cold again and I prefer the high heat available from the stock grips for those days when I don’t want to wear my heated gloves. After removing the grips I can give you a better estimate of the heat you will receive. With these grips the MAXIMUM heat I received was equivalent to the heat received from setting #2 on my 2008 GW standard grips. So if warmth is important, try setting your handlebar heat to #2 to see if it is providing you with enough heat before you buy these because that is all you will get with these if you have the same experience I did. I like the comfort of the larger grip so much I will likely reinstall these next spring but I am disappointed in the lack of heat that is transferred and the lack of clarity on how much heat is lost by installing these. |

Like many other reviewers I bought this because I have the Kuryakyn floorboards which I love but require a kickstand extender unless you want to lift the left floorboard to put the kickstand down. I read the reviews before buying and decided to do so based on the assumption I would apply the red Loctite. The Locktite worked for about 1,000 miles before the extended portion began to swivel. I was able to resolve the issue by drilling a hole through the area where the two pieces connect and then placing a screw into the hole. I drilled from underneath and was careful not to drill the entire way through to the top for aesthetic purposes. I then used a screw that was much longer than needed and cut it to be flush with the bottom of the extender after inserting it using Loctite. Since the screw head has been removed you can’t tell it is there unless you crawl under the bike and look closely. I now have over 15,000 miles without issue. I wouldn’t buy these again if there was another better option but I haven’t found one and was able to get these to work after about ½ hour of work. |
I purchased this cup holder about 2 years ago and I wouldnt leave home without it. I found 2 mugs that fit the holder perfectly 1 is the 16 oz wawa mug [you have to remove the rubber thing on the bottom half of the cup. It slides off without any trouble.] The other is the 18 oz bubba mug. Looks good wont rust and its perfect for me on those chilly mornings with a good hot cup of coffee within arms reach. Excellent purchase.
