This went on my 1997 Yamaha Royal Star before, sadly, I sold it. Unlike the other reviewer, I had few problems with this cup holder. I used this without issues with travel mugs and the occasional disposable coffee cup. I also used it with disposable soda cups, though I did place a second lid under the main lid, which kept the splashing down to a minimum. A couple times I did manage to pepper the windshield and tank, and my helmet, with coffee when going over seriously bumpy sections on California's less-than-enthusiastically maintained freeways, but such is the risk of any cup holder, whether on a bike or in the car. It's also a handy place for sunglass cases, smokes, lighters, and most small things that can come in handy on the road. It did tend to work its way loose now and then, but a quick turn of a screwdriver fixed that. I only left it on the bike because I sold it to a good friend of mine. Of course, I bought one for the new bike! |

COMPLETELY DEAD TODAY 4-31-13 WOO HOOO, SHOULD OF LASTED A LOT LONGER, NEVER AGAIN, AND BY LOOKING AT ALL OF THE REVIEWS, MAYBE, RICK, ITS TIME YOU STOP SELLING THESE JUNK BATTERYS, AND THE WARRENTY, 1 YEAR, LASTED JUST LONG ENOUGH TO NOT BE UNDER WARRENTY, NO REASON TO EVEN CALL. I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PURCHASE, LEARNED FAST. |

I replaced a backrest that had an outside bar mount with the Utopia. The old backrest mounting bar rubbed on Mommas legs and was uncomfortable. Like others have said, once you get over having to cut a perfectly good seat, this install is fairly easy. There are some very good videos on YouTube that show you how to do this install. Just do a search on YouTube for UTOPIA backrest. |
| I love these lights. Look great. Gives my bike a little something extra. I wired these to a switch and allows me to light on ACC mode. BUT, be prepared to remove the entire nose to install. Use the instructions and youtube, I managed. Plan on wire management as you will have 4 wires (18 or 20 gauge) to route to power. I had to run left to right to get to my power switch. They are long enough, but find some way to bind/clamp the wires away. A cool learning install. Will take several hours. Longer is you are new to installs. Instructions didn't lead me to believe the entire nose would come off. Extra hands might be needed to pull the nose, surely to reinstall the nose. |
| Do the job with negating vibration. Get some sort of accent ring. Appeared that something was missing without it. Installed these avout 18 months ago. Now noticed chips in the paint. Very disappointing. Not from impact since some are on the back side. |
| Ok, I'm impressed. I too, thought I was buying just a cheap windshield. I bought it because of all the positive reviews and I'm glad I did. Installed on my 1999 Wing. It took me about 30 minutes to install, and it was a breeze. Went for a 90 mile ride, very happy with it. It sets tall and wide enough to block the wind. Wife is happy with it as well. |

| The stainless steel is harder than the threads of the muffler cover studs. Now I'll have to run a die over the stud to straighten our the threads, or pull the stud and replace it. Other models have open slots, which would be an easier fit and remove much of the potential damage to the studs. |
| This is by far one of the best and least expensive things I've bought for my wing. I put my house key between the fab and the rubber, that way I only have to carry this one key. |
| Really adds to the back and side lighting. Took me about 45 min to install. These light are very bright! |
