I installed the wide version because I did not want to increase the bent angle at the wrists. That is what can make a ride uncomfortable. I like them. |
With the louvered slots on bottom, I think it is the best one out there for the GL1800. It has already saved the bottom of mine.
Works great. Even bought a third one and it fit my garage door remote.
Very Sturdy. But was about 1/8 of an inch too wide.
Bought it at a local dealer. Easy installation
Installed these speakers w/out a problem, perfect fit on my 2006 Wing. Definitely much improved sound, even without amp upgrade. When you do the install, be sure to add some insulation behind the speakers - this will help as much as the upgraded speakers. Only 4 stars because I think the speakers could be even better for the price, but overall quite satisfied.
Adding to my previous review, I recently had the opportunity for an extended ride with a passenger. Virtually no wind noise on the headset microphones even though my passenger wore an open face helmet. I have a Mic Mute system that I won't be installing now. What a great windshield.
I bought a set of these Honda head sets last june and the right speaker quit working already.Very poor quality.
I installed these about 1000 miles ago on new tires for my 2012 Goldwing. Obviously new tires feel great no matter what brand. What I did notice was how smooth the handle bars are now. The bike feels "planted" on the road. Very steady with no harmonics. At really slow speeds you can hear the balls rolling around a little, but not annoying. Time will tell for the extended tire life. I do believe they are worth the money, the bike seems real stable, and smoother.
I'm 5'8 with short arms, I purchased a Corbin seat and was having to sit 2 inches from the nice built in back to the seat or my arms were totally straight to reach the bars. These totally solved the problem, now I'm sitting on the seat where I should be and not stretching to reach the bars. Very easy install.
These combined with the fender accent connected to your brake circuit with a modulator will certainly get the attention of someone behind you, if they can't see you braking with 60 LED'S they are either blind or busy texting.
This fender addition really brings the rather dull rear to life. I also installed the rear vertical saddlebag accents to complete the look. VERY BRIGHT!
