| I have used these grips for a long while actually I am on the fourth set being both chrome and the black and as far as the comfort they are great. You do loose a little of the heat and it does take longer for the grips to heat up. The main problem is that everyone of the sets that I have used start peeling with in matter of months. Part of the problem is that I have additional acid in my system from meds that I take. I took them to a local company that does custom chroming and they said that the problem is also due to chroming process that they use on their product. |
| This fall I rode in below freezing temperatures and these didn't affect the heated grips. It took a little longer to warm up but they still got hot enough that I had to turn down the heat so my hands were comfortable. Will definitely buy again should these wear out. |

| I researched these and other brands. After reading several reviews on WingStuff and other sites and forums, I ultimately decided on the Baker Built deflectors. The video that you see advertising these deflectors pretty much hits the nail on the head. I was still a little skeptical because the video uses a fan to produce the wind instead of actually riding the bike down the road. The fan only produces wind in that one area and not over the entire bike. But, I bought them anyways. Actually I bought the Air Wings, Hand Wings, Leg Wings and Foot Wings. I installed all of them at the same time. Wow, there was a tremendous amount of wind reduction. I could ride at 80mph and feel no more wind or buffering than what I would feel at 30mph without the deflectors installed. It made a huge difference for cold weather riding. On the warmer days, turning the deflectors actually channels and amplifies the air toward you for a better cooling effect. As far as the install, I did all four sets in about an hour. The hand, leg and foot wings are very simple. The hardest part is determining which is left or right. The instruction sheets explain all. It is only one page for each set and if you read them, you will have no problem. The Air Wings were a little more complicated because of the drilling. They do supply a template for drilling the holes where they need to be. The instructions for the placement of the template were simple. A drill bit is supplied. It is a paddle bit primarily used for boring holes in wood. This bit does work fine with the trim piece, but you cannot put too much pressure on the bit or it will bite too much material. Basically, if you just let the weigh of the drill itself, plus just a slight amount of pressure, it will bore the holes clean. Another tip is to drill at a slow speed. I do a lot of riding and these deflectors made me feel I made a good purchase after the first ride with them installed. |
| Installed mine with the KU chrome brackets easy install, look nicer than stock more support. Only concern is there are no wear knobs on the bottom so when you corner to the point of the pegs touching. You are scrapping off the nice chrome finish. They should have wear knobs like the stock foot pegs. Not a huge disclaimer that the pegs could affect ground clearance |

I recently sold my GL1500, but just before selling it the battery went out. I purchased this unit for the bike and wow, it spun tht engine so fast there was no comparison to the older battery in it even when it was new. I have a 2004 GL1800 and will order on for it if this one fits it. According to Compu-Fire it fits the 1800 and the others, but need to make sure before ordering one for it. I don't know about longevity of the battery, but other reviews seem to indicate it lasts a long time. |

| I purchased these back in 2009 because they matched all of the rest of my kury items.i Never used them and always kept them in the uprite position.a few weeks ago I had to remove the battery side cover,so I moved the floorboard (by hand) to the down position and it Broke Off at the hinge!! I was in shock! These were not inexpensive and the warranty is only for 1yr! But these were brand new & unused! So I called wing stuff and was told sorry,the warranty expired and I would have to buy a new set!! I was pissed off & said I would put the stock ones back on! A couple days later I got a call from Jim at wing stuff ,he asked me to send photos of the defected floorboard *(ku7005) a week later I received a new set of floorboards (new part # ku7006) at no charge!! big thanks to jim at wingstuff for standing behind their customers and kuryakyn for backing their product! |
| I had the alternator noise in my XM radio. Plugged this in and it disappeared. Works as advertised. |

Has anyone had difficulty in finding the correct bottle size for the Cubby? I certainly have had trouble. The best size is a plastic water bottle that measures 2 1/2" wide, except it has a screw top that is very inconvenient to use when riding. The smallest reusable bottle I could find is the CamelBak with a spout at 2 5/8" wide. So here are a couple of questions: has anyone taken a Dremel tool to the foam rubber fins so that a little larger bottle will fit? As it is, it's too tight for the CamelBak bottle at 2 5/8" wide. If I do file a little rubber off the fins, will the integrity of the rubber breakdown? |
| When ever I get a new product to install I read install directions 2-3 times. All was well until I tried to install the oil dip stick cover. There was so much lock tight on the set screws I had to remove it, I then had to retap the holes and go to Home Depot get new set screws. I applied lock tight then completed the install. There was so much lock tight on the screws from the package that the heads on the set screws were stripped, new set screws $ .85, drive to the store one hour. The covers look good . |
