These work well for a little while, then the tiny wires break. I lost the right earphone first, then the microphone went. If you wear glasses these are very uncomfortable after a short period of time. Not worth wasting your money on these.

I do not know what all the hype is here these grips look great, but function that is another story. Rubber not tacky enough, chrome cold, diameter too big unless you have large mitts you do not get the control like you would from Oury or Renthal rubber grips at 1/6 the price. I ride year round in New England and these grips are super cold in temps below 40 degrees. They are somewhat slick when wet as well. If you have small to average hands I would also stay away from these. If control and function is your thing than avoid these grips. If looks are what matter than by all means, they are beautiful. |
Had the Exedra's on when I bought the wing and to be fair I had no complaint's. You know how it is when you get something new you get on the forums checking what other people think and so when it came time to change the tyres I went for Avon Cobra's. Well over the course of around 4.5k the rear of the bike developed a humming noise when cornering. I checked the rear Tyre and the cupping was horrendous which was what all the noise was about. The Bridgestone Exedra was developed just for the wing. so If it ain't broke don't try to fix it. I'll be runing Exedra's from now on.

i do think it it good enough oil.considering Hondas spec is regular dino grade gn4. Reports from other reviewers that It made my bike shift better or less clunky are hard for me to believe about any oils. By design the Goldwing is a noisey shifter especially in the lower gears and technique/ shift rpm, will have more effect on noise and smoothness than any "Magic oil". If you could put it on a salad I would have gave it 5 stars. |
These are nice and yes, they keep the wind of me when I ride in colder weather. The only problem is that when I want to turn them in to get air, the right one loosens up and has to be retightened all the time. If they reverse threaded the attachment screw on the right side, as you turn it, it would tighten. that is how it works for the left one. Overall pleased, but having to tighten the attachment all the time is a hassle.
I forgot what the bike felt like when it was new, but these put the biggest smile on my face after riding less than a block from where I had them installed. I couldn't believe the ride and comfort they provided. No more wobble and corning is fantastic! Can't wait to take the bike out on a few long rides this summer.
It took all of 10 minutes to put these on. Matched perfectly to the dull ones that I replaced. Now the problem is the entire area around the passenger footrest looks dull because of the new shinny covers I have on now...sigh. Time to order more bling!
I could not believe how easy it was to take off the rock hard OEM grips, and replace them with Iso grips. After reading the directions, I figured it can't be that hard to do. One slice on each grip was all it took. I did some light sanding on to remove the old glue, and pre-fit the new grips. They were a perfect fit. I did not have any problem with the glue being dry like others have had. But be warned; as the directions say: they set up immediately when they are on with the glue! I also installed the throttle boss and they too are great for resting your hands on those long trips.
I added the Saddlebag Swoops w/LED's to my 2012. These lights really accentuates the body lines of the lower part of the bike. They look great and adds a much needed side light to the bike. The installation was fairly easy with most of my time spent trying to reattach the forward hinge. I slide a small piece of cardboard behind the hinge which made it seat higher so the screws could catch it. Other than that, the install was quick and easy. If drilling holes into the lower (black) plastic scares you, no worries. You almost can't mess up.
No sure if you can transmit with this cord but if you run smart phones you can talk to your group Via - google talk+ plus you will have video also other option is to buy a corded hand mic for you CB.
Just broke in these new mini boards on a 200mi ride much more comfortable than the factory pegs using the middle hole with a slight tilt forward makig it feel more relaxed no issues shifting or breaking thought it would take awhile to get used to butthe opposite felt more natural have shown to member of my riding group and think I made a few sales.
I completed my long ride this weekend (May 3rd) and did another ride the next day. My wife said she couldn't provide enough input on how the windshield performed but I will. The bubble it provides for the rider is very noticeable. It does what you've read about; it pushes the air away from the side and the top of the rider. I am 5' 10" and have it adjusted at the highest setting. This is the setting for me. The windshield is clear and provides excellent visibility. I think this is a quality product and I'll add this... it looks great on the trike. I got many positive comments on the shield this weekend. If you're looking to change the look of your Gold Wing, you may want to look at the V-Stream SE.
