I finally had a chance to take this on an all day ride. Temperatures were in the low to mid 90's and the vents worked better than any other vented helmet I've ever had. I could actually feel the breeze, which felt pretty good on a hot, humid day. Pretty tight compared to other HJC helmets I've owned. Hope it loosens up over time. If you want one try to see them in person to find the right size for you.

Adjustable 19''-27'' Windshield for GL1500
ITEM CODE: BSTB1500T,   SKU: BSTB1500T

Joe
I bought this windshield because I was missing the wind in my face feel while riding but wanted the option of protecting my wife and getting out of the rain. This windshield is perfect. During the summer months and when I am riding 1 up I have it down but if my wife wants to ride it takes just minutes to bring the upper windshield into play. It looks great, is made out very durable material, and is extremely functional. The downside is that the lower half is extremely dark and hard to see through but you get used to it. I am only 5'7" tall and have the windshield at the highest position for short rides 2 up. If I were always riding alone I would have it in the lowest position to make it easier to see the road ahead.

I brought one and liked it so much that I ordered 3 more. These are a snap to install. I cut the other D rings off and open them wide enough to get strap in, simple as that. The old ones had 2 pins that you had to line up and they would always give me trouble; one would go in and not the other and had to pull strap over my head w/helment to fix it. A pain when would fall out on a ride. When these close shut you can definitely know it by the loud snap sound it makes. I believe they are as safe as if not safer than the rest of quick releases.

I received my cover today and it only took 3 days.Man they shipped it the same day.As soon as I took it out the bag I knew it was a better cover than the 2 I own now. It felt heaver and that was what I needed cause my trike(GL1800 w/Motor Trike Adventuer Kit)sets under the carport and the other 2 covers just were so thin they rottened out. Yes 2 in 4 years.I don,t know why I bother w/other websites when Wingstuff always has what,s best for us winggers. A perfect fit and love that zipper. Not to lose and not to tight. It even goes down farther than the others so as to cover the tires.Loveiy cover Wingstuff and at a very very resonable price. Thanks for protecting and careing about our Wings.

Chrome Key Plate Accent for GL1800
ITEM CODE: BB52759,   SKU: BB52759

I too fell into the EU/AU trap and bought this only to find it interfered with the HISS. However, thanks to a great tip from Prankster, Sydney (page 2) she now starts no problem and the desired chrome effect is maintained. With a modeling saw and some patience (it is only soft plastic) I took about 2mm off the depth of the inner ring. Scrape the sawn edge with a Stanley knife and bingo. It just needs to be short enough not to touch the key surround.

Gerad, I hope you've still got yours, it's worth a go.

I ordered this product for my 2009 Honda Goldwing GL1800.
1. Make sure you take off the white plastic coverings on both sides before installing.
2. Before installing I took mine to a local company and had them powder coat it to match the grey cowling color for a cost of $80 US. So glad I did as it comes back with smoother edges and should add many more years of wear to it.
3. Installing it took me approx. 90 minutes. Install the kickstand side first, taking out the side bolts with a 10 mm socket wrench. It may take some effort to get the pan hole over the bolt and inside the cowelling. Put nuts in place and lightly tighten.
4. Then do the same on the right side. With a little persistence it will go into place. Then tighten all four bolts.
5. Put on the front portion last. You'll have to bend it in shape to get a better fit. Then 1/4 tighten lug nuts.
Tip: I used a piece of chrome car door plastic edging along both the front edge of the front piece to reduce rattling and along the back edge of the back piece for a smoother look.
A great product. Like everyone else says it should have been installed at the factory.
Thanks Wingstuff for making it available. Should be purchased by all Goldwing owners.

Bridgestone Tire COMBO for GL1800 G704/G709
ITEM CODE: WSBRCOMBO,   SKU: WSBRCOMBO

In reading the reviews on these tires I am perplexed. These tires came as OEM on my 2012 Wing. The first thing I noticed was some steering wobble at lower speeds in the front at about 3k miles. I have a fork brace but it does not help the wobble. The second thing I noticed was a "whirring" type noise at 5k miles when leaning the bike left or right. At first I did not know where the whirring noise was coming from and read online that it could be the rear tire. The online blogs and my suspicion was confirmed today. I recently got a flat on the Blue Ridge Parkway from a large puncture in the rear tire. I had the rear tire replaced today with a new Bridgestone and the whirring noise is gone but I am sure it will be a matter of time before the noise returns. These tires are ok when they have low mileage and seem to handle well in the rain but my next set will not be these Bridgestone's that's for sure.

Premium Heavy-Duty 100% Waterproof Cover w/Bag
ITEM CODE: WSHD500BK,   SKU: WSHD500BK

the cover looks well built but i found it's not long enough on the sides. the cover barely goes over the front pegs and a good part of the front wheel is showing. I bought this cover to use while my dowco cover was being sent back for warranty. the dowco is longer on the sides and does a better of covering the bike. I would recommended the dowco because of the better fit.

Chrome Fairing Moldings for GL1800 1st Gen

I read so many reviews about the tabs being weak so I thought right, I'm gonna beat this. But no matter how careful I was, bang, one tab broke. They are worth it because of the look but they've really gotta sort out these tabs ay? 3 stars because of the tabs.

When you pull off the old knob, the D clip is retained on the radio shaft and it is very hard to see. I finally found them and removed them by using a piece of Kleenex to pinch into the hole around the knob shaft. You will pull straight up and have the small D clip. Be careful!! If you drop it, your screwed! To put into the hole on the new chrome knob, I went inside, used a very small pair of pliers and gripped the D clip, oriented properly to the hole, and pushed down. Had the knob on a hard surface on top of a note pad, so as to not scratch the chrome. Then used the curve of the plier head to push the clip the rest of the way in...they fit very tightly. Once flush in the knob, then take the chrome knob to the bike, orient properly and push on..when you feel it is partially on, take the notebook again, place on top of the knob and gently tap a few times with a small ball peen hammer...any small hammer will do...just enough to finish the seating. It took me several trys to locate those darned clips as they are black! And I dropped one but thankfully found it on the carpet I had placed under the bike!

Once I knew the procedure the second knob went on in under 2 minutes but that first one took more than 30 minutes...Anywho they are on and they look great. I gave a five star rating because they work and look nice, but if the seller had not helped me with some correspondence, I might have sent them back due to frustration of not finding the clips at first!

Hope my explanation helps another biker out there!
