Avon Cobra Chrome Radial Tires for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG23038

11.24.2014
I had a pair of the "original" Avon Cobras. I previously reviewed these when I had only had about 6700 miles on them....I managed to get 19,000 and change out of them total! The ORIGINAL Avon Cobras were OUTSTANDING; grippy in wet or dry, outstanding in ANY conditions! I finished mine up at The Dragon Tail at Deal's Gap in TN in 2013.
I've been reading the recent reviews on several quality issues that have plagued these tires, and it is for these reasons I couldn't recommend their purchase. Bubbles developing on the inside, causing exterior lumps and tread separation! I opted to purchase the Bridgestone Exedra pair instead. Great tire if they can exorcise the quality demons....you're rolling the dice if you purchase!

I have purchased thousands of dollars worth of kuryakyn parts over the years. Simply because they are the largest volume after market parts out there that keeps up with the latest bikes. They product normally looks good and depend on what you buy it normally works good. Over the years I not only install on my bikes but many friends and customers bikes also. I must say that when it comes down to the kuryakyn LED lighting they really really really fall short on quality control. I cannot tell you how many nice shiny pieces of chrome I have stuck on bikes to only have to carefully pull it off after a week or sometimes hours because half of the LEDs stopped working. This is a big deal to me because I Hate installing on any bike to have to remove that glued part because you'll never know when something will get scratched in the process or paint will come off. Just like with the rear vertical LEDs, I had to install twice to get a good set. TIME & MONEY

Park-n-Move Wheeled Dolly
ITEM CODE: LLPNMS,   SKU: LLPNMS

It works great but it raises the rear wheel a little higher which puts the center stand in an almost vertical position. I would suggest a small wheeled dolly to place under the front wheel to level the bike, like the kind you would put under a snowmobile ski . The more of an angle on the center stand, the less chance you have of the center stand retracting if you hit an obstruction while wheeling the bike around. Very handy when putting the Goldwing in the garage for her season of hibernation

Easy Fit. This is my second pair of these. First pair lasted 5 years before I wore out the bottoms. This new pair looks better, but the quality is not as good. Buckle mount broke during the first use. Was able to repair with short screw and large washer nut.

I replaced my stock candy apple red rear side covers for these chrome ones about 8 years ago as a cheaper replacement as most of the lugs on the OME had broke off over the years the privies owner had bike for..

Passenger Armrest Kit
ITEM CODE: HO08R32MCA100,   SKU: HO08R32MCA100

11.14.2014
Thanks for all the great installation tips posted! Very helpful. After I finished the installation I sat in the passenger seat to try it out, and found that they are not very comfortable to me. They are too high - over 12 inches above the seat, and are set back too far to the rear. I believe arm rests normally are about 10 inches above the seat. I checked the pictures of the other arm rests on the market and found that they are even with the top of the speaker box, or lower, which puts them at about 10 inches above the seat. Feedback? Please, someone tell me I got it wrong, and that I just spent 3+ hours installing really comfortable arm rests!

Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PRRBBB,   SKU: PRRBBB

...when I bought/installed these bumpers 2 years ago for my other Gold Wing (I have two '08 Airbags - one for summer in Canada, one I just bought for wintering in AZ). After reading Coyote79's review I went to Home Depot and bought some 5/16" O.D. clear vinyl tubing. I managed to get it around (inserted a piece from both ends) BUT the lid wouldn't close far enough to 'latch' (too thick/firm) so back to Home Depot, bought some 1/4" O.D. clear tubing (took the 5/16" out) and got it completely around inside the trunk seal (lube it up good with Dawn dishwashing soap). The trunk lid latches firmly with 'nothing' on the trunk rack and I know will be excellent with some weight on the rack. GREAT IDEA for $3+!

I got this item sept. of 2011. Looked nice then, I clear coated it to help add to it's life and it started showing rust about a year plus ago, now it's to the point I'm going to have to have it re-chromed or buy another. (My Goldwing is kept inside) Chrome on this I guess just won't hold up to daily weather/riding. Never even strapped or carried anything to it or one it. Not happy :{(
