| I ordered this item after reading all the reviews (and having to replace my battery). After all said and done , I'm happy with it. I was however very disappointed in the instructions, because there were none. I have a '14 wing and all the reviews talked about 05-10 wings, so researching the instructions became tire some. The instructions are a PDF on the website, but are simply useless. After installing the gauge I learned the back post was touching my radiator and the wire coming off the post was resting against the radiator. I had to bend the wire terminal to the light to make it clear the radiator and I had to reposition the hot wire as not to rest on the radiator, it barely fit. I ordered the recommended t harness so I would have plug and play. After finally locating the factory plug on the clutch side, I spent an hour trying to figure out how to use it. Now you're probably thinking I'm a moron by now, but I have done 12v electric work for years. But the fitting did not match up but one way, in which using that way reversed the polarity going to the meter. I finally figured they had to have screwed it up when manufacturing the t harness, so I took the wires out of the plug and swapped them around to achieve the proper connection. Just a good thing I was paying close attention. If you order the t harness, watch closely that black goes to black and red goes to red. Once I corrected those issues, works and looks great. |

I am the first reviewer but I have nothing to review yet its still April 22. I just want to ask biker that will buy and use this new Dunlap Elite version to do please review it to the best of your experiences. One of the reason I went with Bridgestone Exedra because of the extra grooves on the side for the ront and back tires. Now this new Dunlap seems to have that extra groove now. so why is that important to my riding needs. I ride in the rain and I want to be able to lean that bike on light puddled or extra water pavement. I test mine my tires with a 18 feet wide U Turn and the tires should continue to track where I want it to be and not slide what so ever. Bridgestone does a good job on that and as well on dry pavement of coarse which most rider ride on. I test the tires on long sweeping freeway turns on wet pavement and boy I tell you as if your on dry pavement. If any of you ride Sturgis and them Blackhill rain comes creeping in it pours I mean pour, the Bridgesstone Exedra is not scared on lean turns where you would see other riders taking the safe almost vertical and wide turns. I don't pay attention to noise cause noise can be trigger by the type of pavement your riding on. Asphalt has always been a joy to ride on but concrete can be a tad noisier. So depend on your riding habits test the new Dunlap tire with your needs and share it good or bad experience. Ride Safe bikers!! thanks |
| adding to what Nick just said, I am on my second set as well I pretty much got the same mileage on the first one. It actually does the job on tight 18 feet U-turn on wet pavement. It track and ride really well on high speed freeway ramp lean in the wet pavement as well. A good chance of a third set will be the next tire, but the Dunlap Elite will be out next month. I would like to see the short and long term review on it. I suppose to have long life span and I thought it was few bucks cheaper or not the same as this Bridgestone. an open mindset for these two fine tire brand they are well designed for the Goldwing motorbike. I want to ride up to Purdue bay in Alaska next year and I am hoping the new Dunlap has good experience review. Safe Riding my friends! |
| After reading numerous reviews I decided to take the new belly pan to a machine shop to have vertical grooves cut. I was glad that I did. Even with that it wasn't real easy but I know much easier than if I had not done it.I took pictures but there is not a way to post them here. I had the shop cut vertical grooves in the middle of the horizontal slots so I could just loosen the bolts slide the pan into place. Then I slid it forward and tightened down the bolt caps.I did split some heat proof tubing & applied it to the front piece just to eliminate the chance for rattling. I have not used it on the road yet. If any issues I will re-visit this "review". Best to all the Riders out there. |
| I have had several people inquire about this emblem, commenting how it finishes the front fender. It looks like something that should have been original on the bike. |
| I replaced my stock 2004 very scratched shield with the VStream this week. I like the look on the bike. It gives it a more sporty look. I have only rode 100 miles or so. I can't say that I notice a big difference about the wind and actually the wind from the sides seems worse. I'm 5'9 and the vent view/ placement problem I have not noticed. HOWEVER the windshield is optically strange. It distorts around the vent and some at the sides. Below the vent you get a Star Trek warp speed look. I'm a bit bothered but trying to get used to it. My stock vent fit fine but the vent is a pain in the butt anyway. It is thicker and fights being bent around the mounting points. Closing the windshield locks are scary tight. I always run it full up so its not a problem for me. One of the main problems that I give it a 3 Star rating is the fit of the rubber grommet from the fairing. It just don't fit well at all. The sharp curves of the shield leave big gaps. I'm posting pictures of this on my photos . Bottom line is I'm not sold on it and may call Wingstuff about a return. I'll update soon. |

Install but wired to my Aux Fuse block. Works great with no problems... Another Great Product by EC |
| All I can say is 2 minutes for install and it helps to dress up the dash area on Wing. |
