I installed it as per the instructions, after I finished and tested it it was uneven. I tested it in several flat surfaces and street and the left side as you sit on the bike does not secure to the ground, it rested on the foot handle. The other point: when you engage reverse to put it one the center stand the starter motor strains to back it into position, thats with just one person on it. I don't think the motor will have enough power to lift it into position with two people on it. I do not recommend this product. The only reason I didn't return it is because I tried to straighten it with a rubber mallet and got frustrated, I just put the stock center stand back on.

Received this product yesterday from Wingstuff. When attempting to install last evening I did encounter a few issues. First of all, this apparently can only be installed in one direction, as opposed to a typical incandescent bulb.Make sure you test it prior to replacing lens. It is also a bit thicker than the OEM bulb and I had difficulty inserting it into the socket. So much so in fact that I pushed the contacts back into the socket and had to take the socket apart and put everything back into place. A dab of a dielectric grease prior to installing this might be a good idea. Light output was OK, not that much different than stock other than being a bit more white. Not sure I would go thru the hassle again, but this should last a long time being LED. |

Just received these yesterday and installed last night. Super easy install, uses existing hardware. (Two bolts per side) Simply remove your old boards (or footpegs if you have an F6B) and re-use your factory hardware. 10 minute job at best. Great fit and finish, built much more robust than the factory boards. Wife loves the additional foot placement options for trips. Great price from Wingstuff, would purchase again! |
These had plastic over the metal hooks. Material and quality is very good.
Fit is much better and they didn't have a glue smell. Much better quality.
Well made and affordable. Corners reinforced, nice touch.
Installation was fairly straightforward, I did remove my mirrors to make room for my fingers to work on the wire tap connections for the running and turn light function. They fit just right, make sure you pay attention to which spacers go where, otherwise you will have some gaps. Lighting at night is amazing, much better than the halogen lamps I had on my previous 2006 Wing. I'm happy I found these before I purchased any other lights for my lower cowl.
Purchased them about a month ago. Could not ask for a better fit. No more peg dragging, if you get you feet off them in extreme leans. Pretty much impossible to not find a comfortable position. Easy install.
This is one of the must useful items I have put on my F6B! Now I always ride with a bottle of water with me to stay hydrated at all times. It is also useful when pulling up to a drive-thru window at a fast food place for a coffee, milkshake, or soda. It takes only 30 seconds to install. The smooth gloss black cover looks a lot better on my Black F6B then the original ruff flat black cover. Well worth the money!
I added these to the bike for a couple of reasons. The original plastic one's were in sad shape, and the "bling" factor. They installed without issue. I did not install the chrome caps for the bolts for fear I would damage the trim piece if I ever had to remove them. The chrome bolts look fantastic anyway. I have a couple of pics (before and after) under my page if interested!
Got about 13,000 miles out of them. They didn't feel as smooth as the other tires I've tried. Just gave a stiffer ride, didn't feel that they gripped the road as well. Just felt like a harder tire. I ride two up conservatively, check air pressure regularly. I'm going back to Metzlers they seem to suit me best. Got a set of Marathon 888's this time. Only got about 400 miles on them, but wow. My wife even commented on how much quieter and smoother the ride was.
After unsuccessfully ordering this windshield through another company $&* Cycles, they mislead me and thinking I will be getting this shield in approx. 7-10 days. There website says it will be shipped in 5-7 days after ordering online. This is totally untrue, so after being disappointed with the service and being mislead I called "Wingstuff". When I called Wingstuff and told them my problem, they got my info from previous ordering and said they would call me back to see if they could get me the windshield in the time frame I need for my trip. Wingstuff called me back within 5 mins and gave me great news that they can have the windshield drop ship to me within 3-5 days. This is 5-6 days before my trip and they still are having the company drop ship it to me in that time frame. I knew about these guys but this is above and beyond satisfying the customer. You'll have a customer for life for all my bike needs from this day forward. Great job Wingstuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
