Right off the bat, I have to echo others review about the chrome on these armrests. It does flake off early in life and it not great looking in a very short time. That part is disappointing. However, as far as the functionality of these armrests, I have to give five stars. I have had these on my GW for about 4 years now. I honestly cannot recall exactly what the installation was like, but I do know that I didn't have any problem installing them myself. It only required removing the passenger backrest. I think you have to drill a couple of holes, but it's not big deal. But the thing that is GREAT about these armrests is that they fold UP instead of OUT. My wife LOVES them! When they are down, they give her an extra bit of security by holding her to the center of the bike. Other arm rests that swing out do not provide that security. She sat on other GW's that had those types of arm rests and MUCH prefers these. Yes, they are rather expensive, and yes the chrome job sucks. But the function makes them very much worth it IMHO. If the chrome is that big of an issue, I suppose you could have them re-chromed. To me, they aren't visible enough to worry about that. Glad I have them and would buy them again. |

Installation wise, don't just spray hairspray in the grip covers... also spray the grip itself with a healthy dose and these will just slide right on with a minimum of effort. My first attempt I only sprayed hairspray in the grip covers and yeah, it wasn't happening. Got about halfway on and they were stuck. Sprayed the grip itself with a ton of hairspray and re-sprayed the inside of the grip covers and it was MUCH easier to slide them all the way on. As for the covers themselves, they are exactly as described. Nice feel and definitely thicken up the grips some. Oh... I also found removing the bar-end weights also made installation a lot easier. |

| While the product is well made. The instructions leave a bit to be desired. There vague as they don't indicate the tools required to install the product. A installed picture would be a helpful addition. |

Sent them back without installing them. They are very heavy, I weighed them at 9 pounds. That's 1/10th of the weight Honda cut off of the previous Wing. Also, IMO only, they are very bulky looking. They cover a large part of the engine cover, and block out most of the "Honda" insignia. |

They are way too big for the 2018 goldwing Tour. Had to return them. Wish Wingstuff would indicate that these are not for the 2018. The saddlebag liners when empty have to be squeezed in the saddlebag, leaving no room in the liners to put in anything. Purchased the saddlebag liners specifically for the 2018 and they are a perfect fit. |

| Finally got these installed with Two screws left over. I have the F6B and maybe the Instructions was for the Full Dresser GL1800. One screw was suppose to go in a Hole but the screw provided was way to small and the other screw there was no place for it. This happens a lot with Kuryakyn product instructions as I had the Dragon Wings and they don't fit up right with the F6B. Starting to hear a lot of Bad from this Company.Once I got it on, it really looks Good. If it wasn't for the Instructions I would have Probably have given this a 5 Star. |

So I got the replacement set from Wingstuff, no complaints with them their customer service is excellent. But... the new set. I took an X-acto knife and carefully carved away all the black coating in the screw holes. Before I did that... I couldn't finger-tighten the screws into ANY of the holes. Not a single one. It's almost unbelievable these are allowed to leave the factory like this. But anyways... I X-acto'd out all of the holes, and then I was able to start putting the screws into some of them. But there were still 3 that were just really fighting me. I with the UTMOST of care tried to apply just a little more pressure and sure enough, the screw broke, leaving a chunk of itself down in the threads. I tried to drill it out but no go. These grips are so poorly made with the sloppy application of the black coating (and beyond ridiculously weak screws) that I'm seriously in shock they're being sold as a ready-to-use product. Now I've gone through 2 sets of these... and the simple act of just screwing in the screws can't be accomplished. Either I'm a complete idiot, or these just flat-out aren't being subjected to any kind of quality control. |

I know this installation can seem very tough. I tried once and gave up on it, the side cover won't budge and the only solution I thought of was cutting V groves. Today I gave it a second try, took out the two bolts on the side and the front cowl screw also, pulled the side cover out with a constant pressure and a few firm jerks, it slid of the bolts enough for me to slide the cover over the bolts. Did the same thing on the other side. The trick is to pull the cover out giving constant jerks while pulling with firm pressure. Very good product. |

There are few options out there for Highway Pegs for the 2018 Goldwing. Rivco was the first to step up and people seem to be happy with this option. I wanted more of a foot rest not just a peg so I was waiting out something from Kuryakyn. Still nothing. So I pulled the trigger for the Goldstrike option. Very pricey at $389.00 but they look good, appear to be very well built and most important very comfortable. There is good adjustability. The installation instructions are OK but there could be improvement there. To do a very careful neat install did take me a couple of hours. If you can accept the high price you'll be very happy in the end. I am !! Cyclechris .. |
