I ordered these when they were first announced on Wingstuff as they were the only highway pegs available at the time. After a backorder delay I finally got my hands on them in September of 2018 so I have had them for around 9 months. They immediately made a big improvement over the stock riding position although as pointed out in another review they are only really adjustable forwards and back. I found by tightening the bolts on the front of the pegs that I could lock them in place enough to be able to put my boot heels on top of the pegs without the pegs moving, giving me another position. My issue is the warranty. The weekend before July 4th I broke the left peg at its thinnest point by pushing on the pegs to stretch out. Something I have done thousands of times before with various hiway pegs ( This is my 4th Wing and I have used hiway pegs on every tourer I have owned). I contacted Rivco support who answered the phone very quickly I explained the issue and was asked for pictures which I sent to them. After being told a manager had reviewed the pictures and determined it was not something covered under warranty. They could however supply a new pair of pegs for $90. I didn't have a lot of choice as I was starting a road trip 2 days later so I paid the $90 plus another $80 for overnight shipping. The good news is that the pegs arrived as promised the next day and I was able to get the broken peg replaced before our trip. I will continue to use these until 1 fails again and reassess what is available at that time. Rivco to their credit were prompt and courteous in dealing with my issue however be warned. If you put forward pressure on the pegs by stretching out on them you may encounter the same failure as I did and even though I only needed the left peg you will have to pay for a replacement pair.
I installed these on fy new ‘18 Wing today and they are great. The only slight problem was having to chamfer the pin hole to get the pin through. Very easy install.

I bought this cover in January and only use it during the week at work. Now in July the black part is faded to brown. For the price I would hope the color would last longer than a few months. |

These work well for me and they look good on the bike. Only two small issues for me, I can not rest my legs on them as the fold back in when I try that. You have to rest your boots on the pegs and not your leg. Also a rock or something hit one of the pegs and knocked off a chunk of the black paint on the peg. As for how they react in a tip over, a friend dropped his GW with the pegs extended and the peg snapped off just below the pivot point. The breakoff bolts did not budge. |
These work well with Rox Straps for holding a seat bag on.
One side came loose after a couple of weeks after the tape let go. I took them off and reinstalled with much more of the 3M tape. I'll see if this helps keep them in place.
Install was a little tricky but it went on OK without taking the fender off. Drilling the holes was a little concerning but worked out fine.
The only issue I had was keeping the well nuts in the correct location on the seat long enough to get the bolts to thread into them. Other then that the install went pretty well and the backrest is working very well for me.
Very easy too install, I have a EU model, had to change the plugs, 4stars+ looks like a million.
These mini boards are easy to install and are attractive but the spring washers provided are completely useless, they don't hold the boards in the up stored position or securely in the down position they will bounce when bike is in motion. The washers are too small in all ways.
Well the backrest its self very comfortable the reason I'm giving 3 stars because the push button on side to adjust I losted while I traveled, now I don't know if I can buy the little part or whole backrest.
