True, it is a very good effect. But be warned, it will show every imperfection in your windshield.

All Balls Steering Bearings for GL1800 & F6B
ITEM CODE: TR416233,   SKU: TR416233

I had to replace the fork seals on my 01, so I thought why not change the bearings while I had the front off. It was a little difficult getting the old one out, but finally with a little help from the trusty Dremel, I got them out. I had a local dealer press the ones onto the stem just to be safe. I made my own tool for the steering nut out of galvanized pipe, again cutting out the indentions with the Dremel. At the same time I had the deal install the progressive springs because I had them on a previous Wing I had owned and loved them. Even with 10,000 miles on the Bridgestones, I could tell an immediate difference in the low speed handling. I would never have taken my hands off of the handlebars before, but I just had to try it once and the bike ran true and straight. I am ready for a new stone on front and can't wait to see how many miles I get out of it. My advice is, if you've got to take the front-end off for any reason, go ahead and install these then. I asked my dealer why didn't Honda admit there was a problem and install these bearings on the new ones. He said they would have to do a recall on all of the older bikes and it would cost too much.

Progressive Heavy Duty Fork Springs for GL1800
ITEM CODE: TR771521,   SKU: TR771521

05.27.2010
I installed these along with the Allballs steering bearings, new bushings and seals in the forks because the left one was leaking, and of course changing the fork oil. The ride is much "firmer" now, which means I feel every bump in the road. I modified the anti-dive control as mentioned on another website, and the bike does not dive at all when I brake. With the new bearings and the new springs, even with tires with some miles on them, the wobble is all but gone. Big difference on that. 4 stars because you need to be prepared for a "rougher" ride.

Downloaded the additional instructions but it was still a tough install. Had to use a 2x4 to move hitch enough to get the bolts in.
