The covers add a little chrome accent that blends well with the other front end components. They are easily mounted to the original units with tape, so be sure the surfaces are clean and wax free before you install them.
Most importing step, clean well, no dirt or wax on the black plastic on bike, they just stick on over what you have. They stick great and do not interfere with changing or taking off the windshield, made good, easy to clean.
I brought these to brighten up the dull black factory Strut Covers. Installation was quick and easy and I allowed the adhesive to cure overnight. I rode over 300 miles the next day and no problems at all. A great choice!
I got these in the summer. took care to clean all parts. Put them on waited for a day to ride. and it was almost like the tape melted. i took both off about half hour into the ride. was going to try putting them on with different glue.
I made sure they were applied correctly, used alcohol to clean the area first. Then I applied pressure in a worm area and waited 24 hours. First one fell off within 5 miles and the other one fell off on the way home.
