These work as covers and looked good at first, but after riding in rain one time, the finish was peeling off along every edge. Rusting metal underneath. Will remove ASAP.
Paint quality seems good contrary to other reviews. Fit seems a little off. Small gap between the cover and engine could have been avoided. It’s not awful, but when you look up close it is not flush at all.
Love These Cylinders covers,clean & dressed up the motor nice. The first time I washed my bike the first thing I said to myself was that it was going to be hard to keep it looking nice down and around in each slot. But this took care of that...seen them and had to have them
Does not lay flat across engine. Paint was peeling on one end. I had to cut out a section to fit around Comfort Bar bolt head on both sides. I will repaint this myself and do some bending on it to lay flat.
Just put these on cleans the engine up very nice.Easy 2 bolt installation using existing mount points. I used an 8 mm flex socket 1/4 inch drive with an extension and ratchet to remove the bolts. Be careful removing them and installing them as do not to drop them.
Ideal for covering the cylinderhead, where all the dirt remains and is hard to clean, but within 2 years it starts to rust.I had them on my 2018 GW and now wanted to transfer them to my new 2020 DCT, but there is a large part rusting. Description says powder-coated but that's poorly done.
First let me say that this item is not necessary. Then let me add that it cleans up the top of the engine and gives it a much cleaner look. Would highly recommend it to anyone.
The easiest and best way to make that engine look 1000% better Once installed it gave a finished look to that engine Prefit them as i needed to tweak the right side to sit a little more flat But thats just my ocd kiccking in They look great once installed Regardless of ofd add or whatever your PC disorder may be
