Don't pinch pennies here!
Despite what other companies tell you, their technology will not create a better signal than the Hondaline antenna. What you will NOT get with other companies is a perfect factory match to the radio antenna and Honda quality. One bit of advice; ground your antenna well, find a good spot to ground it to the frame and you will get a little better transmission quality and range, also, meter your antenna, mine was perfect from the factory which results in the 5 star rating. |

I just put one on my 12 and it works great and matches the radio ant. Dont worry about drilling the holes for this unit, they are marked on the inside and drill out very easy. |

I'd spent the extra bucks for the factory CB radio so, I decided not to pinch pennnies on my radio's antenna. It has proven to be an extremely high quality product, that enhances my factory CB radio's performance. The Hondaline factory CB antenna is certainly the way to go. |

Reveived yesterday. Great shipping with all my items ordered. Good intall, nervous about the drilling aspect but good instructions and there are videos to help show what needs to be done. Don't have the CB, put it on for now to even things out. Planning on buying the alternate CB/MP3 item offered. Heard nothing but great things about that product. Thanks Wingstuff! |

Easy to install and the finish it first rate. If you are going to do a SWR on it, the connections will be under the seat and you can get RCA to RS 232 adaptors at Radio Shack to adapt it to any SWR meter. |

Excellent product. Installation was straight forward. A little hesitant drilling the holes but they are marked on the inside of your trunk, took about 20 minutes to install. |

Great antenna. Perfect match for radio. Had to cut 3/4" off antenna to get SWR's balanced at 1.5 on ch 1 and 1.4 on ch 40. was 1.2 on ch 1 and 2.6 on ch 40 before trimmed. |

I don't care what they say go factory antenna and don't waste your time with the cheap one. You get what you pay for in this case. |

Installed this on a 2009 GL1800. Picked this brand over others. Just wanted it to match and be of good quality. Installation is a piece of cake. Marks on in the trunk as advertised. As the instructions say, start with a small drill bit and work your way up. If you don't have metric drill bits, search the web for a conversion chart and always pick the smaller bit that is close to the size you need. I used this conversion chart (https://www.csgnetwork.com/drillsizeconvert.html) You can all ways make the hole a little bigger if needed. I wasn't too excited about drilling holes in my wing with only 2000 miles on it though. I agree with others that trying to set the SWR is pretty much impossible using the motorolla type ends that are on the antenna and CB radio. SWR meter is expecting PL-259 type of connections. Went to Radio Shack and found a series of adapters to go from Motorolla to BNC to PL-259. With the added length (almost 3 inches) to the antenna side using the adapters, the SWR reading was relative high. I'm hoping, as others have asked, that the antenna and CB radio (both Honda Brand) are somewhat pre-matched as far as the SWR is concerned. However, reception is great. Have not had a chance yet to determine transmission distance. Regardless, it looks great and balances out the rear end of the bike. |

Installation is a snap, especially if you have the Kuryakyn passenger armrests already installed. 2 of the three holes dilled for mounting the armrest. Just drill the extra hole for the cable and bolt it on. |
