F4 Windshield
I ordered this windshield from Wingstuff, had it drop shipped to the artists residence who etched the twin eagles on it for me - one on each side of the air vent. I added a picture of it to my photo gallery. Came out very nice! Thanks wingstuff / Rodney for assisting me with this windshield project. You guys are the best! I haven't really had the shield on long enough to make a comment about its benefit, but reading the reviews is what sold me on this one. I clean my shield at every stop when on the road, I don't like looking through bug juice! Looks great on the bike and have gotten lots of compliments already. |

F4 Std. Tinted Windshield is the ONE
By far the best windshield I have ever had... Installed it a year ago and it is still like new. Cleans easily, and the tinting just makes bike look better. Would purchase again...WORTH THE COST!! |

It's Good
Now that I've had it for a couple of months I feel qualified to put something down. It's as good as they say. No scratches; crystal clear, despite my not being particularly careful when cleaning -- just plenty of Sprayway and paper towels. The height adjustment also works better than with the stock windshield. I don't have to rock the thing back and forth while pulling up. It just clicks up one stop at a time. Nice. I bought the standard height, tinted, with vent hole version for my 2010. I like to look over the windshield most of the time and I live in Southern California so the weather is cooperative, and I like the look of the tint and it's no problem at night. Installation was pretty straightforward. Maybe 40 minutes. Yes, the edges aren't polished but they are clean, and you should take your time applying the Velcro because it shows since the bottom of the windshield isn't painted. But it looks and works great. Another happy F4 camper. |

Thumbs Up on F4 Scratch Resistant Clear Windshield for GL1800 Gold Wing
In April, I received this fabulous scratch resistant clear windshield for my GL1800 Gold Wing. The +4" taller height windshield keeps the wind out of my eyes and allows the heat (if needed) from the engine, so I'm more comfortable. Plus, for us taller dudes, I love the feature of it being higher. Also, the windshield vent works great on hotter days. I'm looking forward to more fun rides coming up! Thanks again for such a great product!! Darryl Day P.S. I installed it myself. |

"Liar Liar Pants on Fire"
The F4 +4 = helmet buffeting SOLVED! I was constantly getting headaches and blurred vision with irritated watery eyes while riding my 2015 GL1800 Goldwing. I kept ignoring the symptoms of helmet buffeting thinking it was just minor headaches and allergies. After I finally realized what was causing my headaches, I would pull over to the side of the road to set my factory windshield as high as it could go, the headaches would disappeared almost instantly. But, I still had to slouch down from time to time which became harder to do after I installed a backrest to my seat. To solve my painful issue, I purposely put a long scratch across the factory windshield and told my queen that a low hanging tree branch did the damage. She deposited the funds in my account and said, "I will not ride with you again until you replace that ugly windshield". Was I wrong for doing this? I must admit, it was the first time I lied to her and ENJOYED the results! The F4 +4 Tinted w/ air vent already installed is a must have product for me. My queen makes sure nothing stops us from enjoying our weekend rides. BTW, this afternoon I drove for 1 whole minute at 100 MPH! No worries, No Wobble, and most of all "No headache"! |

F4 windshield
Just put it on yesterday and drove to work this morning. When I got behind an SUV the windshield did start flapping on the upper edges of the shield. I believe because it is a square shape the upper corners have very little support. Also if you wear polarized sunglasses you will see different coloration in the windshield. Will try it for a while during Lake George bike week. |

2 years with replaced F4 and all good
I installed my 1st F4 on my 2004 in 2010. I was VERY careful cleaning it. Never used a spray cleaner (instructions said propellents held contaminants). Used a clean tight weave terry cloth towel with the edges cut off so no seams to scratch the screen. Used a mix of alcohol (no, not whiskey, THAT was for me!) and water. It scratched horribly to the point all I focused on was all the fine scratches. I gave the item a very poor rating. Out of the blue, in January of 2013, the F4 sales manager e-mailed me. He was concerned, and we ended up talking on the phone. He believed my problem, and felt I may have had a faulty screen. Since it had been a few years, it was not under warranty, but he stood by the product, and allowed me to buy a new one at a VERY discounted cost, a bit lower than a stock Honda screen. He also told me not to use a cloth towel, but to use paper toweling. AND, to use fingernail polish remover occasionally to strip the screen to factory. I promised to return the bad one. As it happens, I backed over the old one (I had laid it behind my car...DUH!) and shattered it. So it went into the garbage can. Now, as to the new one. After two full years, I am VERY happy with the new F4. It has one 1" hairline scratch that was my fault. I now have the perfect way to clean the screen. In a hand spray bottle, mix a few ounces of fingernail polish, some alcohol, and then fill with hydrogen peroxide (H2O2...basically water but it dissolves bug bits in a heartbeat). I let the spray sit for a bit, and softly wipe clean with paper toweling. The a dry paper towel to clean off residue. I use a clean tight weave terry cloth to buff it until slick. Every few cleanings, I lightly spray Nexus on a paper towel and lightly run it over the screen, and use the tight weave terry cloth (oh, and never use fabric softener when washing), to softly buff. Works like a freaking charm. Amazingly clear and the screen is slick and sheds water like a frog's butt. And once a month, I wet a paper towel with fingernail polish, and strip the screen. I have absolutely zero scratches after 2 years, I mean ZERO, and 100% total clarity Sorry this was so long, but I wanted pass on F4 cleaning that has worked for me. I also want to say, a big thank you to F4 for standing behind their product. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is, well, it is very expensive, otherwise I would give it a 5. |
