4 stars because the instructions suck. The product is tops! These shims move the bars up 1 1/2" at the grips, and relieves the strain that causes the pain between my shoulders, and my upper back. It is now easier to keep my posture correct when doing tight low-speed maneuvers, making them easier and more accurate. Good product at a good price! |

Kudos to Wingstuff for a good selection of three different risers, as folks will have their own needs. My problem was that I'm tall, grips were hitting my thighs when turned. Problem solved, these are GREAT! The other (more expensive) risers have more spread and setbacks configuration options but none of them move the bars up as far. That's all I wanted, and these deliver more rise at a fraction of the price. For once, I got off easy. The little plastic spacers go under the mouse ears handlebar cover when reinstalling. I suggest gluing them to the mouse ears so you or your shop don't lose them the first time you disassemble again, even if you manage to not lose them when installing. For those concerned about cables, don't be. At the mounting point, this is only raising the bars a 1/4" or so - no problem. Pardon the obvious (to some) - it works by changing the angle of the bars. |

These are great as they do bring the bars closer and higher. As one other poster mentioned no need for polished as they are hidden. Good price too. |

These works GREAT for me. I'm 6'3" with bad posture. Install was SUPER simple. I think it took maybe 30 minutes. Instructions couldn't be more simple (if you even need to read them). No problem with cables or clearance, not trimming, good turning radius. I think it even helps with the wind by raising your bars a touch kinda even with the mirrors, maybe that's just me though. Best of all is the price. You would be hard pressed to find a better deal. |

The product put the bars at a position that was much nicer.I would say that the instructions were very bad. |

Installed these in about an hour then went on a week long trip. Install was easy enough, chrome really doesn't matter as you won't see them once installed but they do move the bars back a little which is nice. I still experienced some pain between the shoulder blades on some days although they were the days I spent more than 800 miles on the bike so it may not be a riser issue and more of a long distance issue. Overall- a good product with an easy install and it was a third the cost of the kury risers, although you can adjust the kury risers if needed. |

AJ and his crew installed these today. Rode 75 miles home. I'm 6'4" and always felt the bars were too far away, and felt pressure in my shoulders on long rides. These risers fixed it! No more feeling pressure or feeling the bars were too far away. Very comfortable now, hooray! This is a "must do" for any serious cruisers. Checked out the other risers, felt the grips may hit my legs or tank on max turns. |

These may work for some people, but they didn't work for me with only the one position option. I sent these back and ordered the Kuryakyn brand handlebar risers that have a variety of position options in one kit. |

I just returned from a 100 day, 15,000 mile tour around the US https://www.darnton.ws/~USA_2009_Motorcycle_Tour/) with these risers, and have used them for 25,000 miles so far. Simply put, these risers are inexpensive and do the job, so why pay more? They are essential for long-legged riders such as myself, because without them the clutch and brake handles contact your thighs at full lock in a low-speed turn, and when that happens you and the bike fall over. This only happens once, because after that you always take your inside foot off the peg in a tight turn. Not a very good technique, the DMV would flunk you. Get these risers, and unless you're REALLY tall that won't happen again. (I like being big, but there are times when I envy you smaller riders!) I must warn you that the installation is absolutely maddening (I have big hands; see above), but that's Honda's fault, not the risers'. The instructions are just barely adequate. Good luck with it. Try to find someone at your local GWRRA chapter to help who's removed the dash panels before. The speakers have to come out of their mounts too, which is easy only if you know how that works (I didn't, but I learned). I lost three screws in the process (they're down inside somewhere, and after a trip to my Honda dealer I replaced 'em), but I got it done. Still five stars, because none of these problems are related to the shims themselves. |
