Well worth purchasing just like in the video it shows with the air being deflected
Look great and easy to install. The positioning isn't the best on the shifter side as I could only use that board at the furthest back position in order to get my foot under the shifter.
Well worth the money! Fit great and very good quality. Keeps most stuff from sliding around in the saddlebags.
These lights work well and are off high quality. One thing that always worries me about installing aftermarket electronics is the quality of wiring and connectors - will they come apart ? Will they short out and blow a fuse that runs another critical item? Will I have to tear the front of the bike apart again and chase a loose wire? I will often cut off connectors and solder directly myself if things don’t look durable. Not the case with these Pathfinder lights, which have connectors that will be partially exposed to road elements behind the lower cowl. The connectors look closer to OEM quality. Lights themselves are a notch higher in quality than similar products. Fog lights very bright, DRLs present a unique, modern light design - modernizes your GL1800, which dates back to the Y2K era. Signals work as advertised. Installation is timely but not technically burdensome. Getting the wires from the fog lights up to the connectors at the turn signals looks difficult, but with some patience, you can get them up through the fairing . Right side is more difficult - I needed to remove the right side panel that houses the headlight adjustment buttons to get access to a space to pull wires up through, which is no big deal but not in the video or directions FYI. Don’t re-install the lower cowl until you’ve got the lights adjusted otherwise you’ll be removing it again!
Product fits into mirror housings just as well as OEM , so if that is a concern, don’t let it be. Wiring connectors plug right in and provide additional power for another accessory such as a 12 volt receptacle in fairing pocket. Installing an LED flasher is required and is a challenging job, but doable. Requires taking all hardware above headlights off and there’s limited space for fingers and hands. Others have had better luck taking instrument panel off and going in that way. Driving lights, once installed, are very bright and the light design makes your Wing, which dates back to 2001, look modern. Overall, I’m impressed...install outside of the flasher is pretty easy, and they look nice after installed!
I like very in Australia do cb radios in this country don't use this sort off cb signal anymore so only use it with other goldwing riders I'm in a goldwing riders group its my firh cb instalation they are all on global 1800 and easy too do about an hour and half I just go on u tube and that it plenty off videos on cb installs
Fits perfectly!!The hardest part was getting back panel off to install!!
OEM Plugs..great service..runs wellSold the bike
Great plugs haven't found any reason to change what Honda uses.
Use these on my 2013 GL-1800 and have had nothing but great grip and average 12000 miles. The Bridgestone tires where OEM tires when I bought the motorcycle and have found no reason to change. I try to wait every year to take advantage of the $60 rebate.
At $300 with a $60 rebate these are acceptable. Dunlop Elite 4's now run nearly $400 a pair. This is my third set, have not gotten more than 5000 miles out of a set before they start to wobble. Run 41-42psi. I attribute my blah mileage to aggressive riding style, attacking twisties whenever possible and avoiding highways unless they are absolutely necessary. Never have a passenger so over-loading is not an issue. Don't tow either. When new these are great tires.
Product description should mention that modifications to your handlebars are needed. The handlebar bolt holes need to be drilled out or elongated, since the shims purpose is to tilt the bars rearward. I didn’t like the idea of having potentially loose bars if the mounting bolts ever loosened at all. I should have stopped there, but I attempted to drill one side anyway. My drill bit caught and pulled itself into a wiring harness, which then required microsurgery to repair (that part was my fault). Still, reaming out your handlebar mounting holes is to me a bad idea. It should be stated that drilling is required.
