Nice addition to bike
These lights work well and are off high quality. One thing that always worries me about installing aftermarket electronics is the quality of wiring and connectors - will they come apart ? Will they short out and blow a fuse that runs another critical item? Will I have to tear the front of the bike apart again and chase a loose wire? I will often cut off connectors and solder directly myself if things don’t look durable. Not the case with these Pathfinder lights, which have connectors that will be partially exposed to road elements behind the lower cowl. The connectors look closer to OEM quality. Lights themselves are a notch higher in quality than similar products. Fog lights very bright, DRLs present a unique, modern light design - modernizes your GL1800, which dates back to the Y2K era. Signals work as advertised. Installation is timely but not technically burdensome. Getting the wires from the fog lights up to the connectors at the turn signals looks difficult, but with some patience, you can get them up through the fairing . Right side is more difficult - I needed to remove the right side panel that houses the headlight adjustment buttons to get access to a space to pull wires up through, which is no big deal but not in the video or directions FYI. Don’t re-install the lower cowl until you’ve got the lights adjusted otherwise you’ll be removing it again! |

Install and operate as advertised
Product fits into mirror housings just as well as OEM , so if that is a concern, don’t let it be. Wiring connectors plug right in and provide additional power for another accessory such as a 12 volt receptacle in fairing pocket. Installing an LED flasher is required and is a challenging job, but doable. Requires taking all hardware above headlights off and there’s limited space for fingers and hands. Others have had better luck taking instrument panel off and going in that way. Driving lights, once installed, are very bright and the light design makes your Wing, which dates back to 2001, look modern. Overall, I’m impressed...install outside of the flasher is pretty easy, and they look nice after installed! |

F6B challenging install but work well
I installed these on my 2013 F6B. These require a separate wiring harness that provides a “T” in each mirror in order for directional signals to operate (not the case on full Wing, which is plug and play). An advantage oh adding the harness is that you can unplug the Tridium lights if there’s something wrong with them, and still maintain stock lighting and signals. I was not impressed with the quality of connectors so I cut them off and soldered the wires to avoid any issues over time. They work well for making the bike more visible, but do not really illuminate the road any better (too low in cowling). |

Would be five stars except two issues
Fog lights work well, very bright. Installation is a little challenging, but not terrible; worst part isolated to F6B and Valkyrie owners. Two issues: 1. F6B owners - beware that you will need to splice into factory wiring at mirrors to get running and turn signals to work. I recommend using an adapter that goes between the Honda factory connectors so you are tapping into wires that are not directly part of the bike's wiring. For example, the Kuryakan 7301 adapter. I feel Big Bike Parts should provide an easier way to install these wires to the F6B. the way they do for the full Wing. 2. I have to call Big Bike Parts because my left signal flashes the Tridium driving lights, not the amber lights, when signaling. Right side works the way it is supposed to. Wiring has been double-checked. |
