I am an audiophile, so good audio is my forte. Although the original design of the speaker mount limits the speaker size, J&M's design to push the envelope is noticed in this upgrade. There is a little more base heard. Not much, but every little bit helps, and I'll take it. The sound is clean and no distortion heard when turned up to reasonable levels. One note however, if you pay attention to the polarity where the size of the lugs differ from the + /-, don't worry about it. I tested the speakers to see if there were in fact reverse and they are not.. The marking is wrong, but the connections are correct. At least in my case. I called J&M tech support to discuss and make them aware, and they are aware and told me the same and not to worry. If you really want to make sure, just take a 9 volt battery and test each speaker and place the Plus terminal of the battery to the small lug and the minus on the larger lug. The speaker should move up or down, but it should be the same for each speaker. If by chance they do not move in the same direction, then yes you have a speaker out of polarity. But they assured me that they test each one and that the lugs are wired correctly even though some might have the marking wrong.
Recently had a mishap - broke my mirror on the right side... Honda would not sell just the mirror, but wanted me to purchase the complete housing at a ridiculous price, so I purchased these, together with the Chrome Mirror housings for less than the cost of one replacement OEM Mirror Housing from Honda! Looks Great, the LED signals add visibility, and the blue glass does help reduce glare!
Have had these on my 2003 GL1800A for the past 16 years and 200,000 miles; they've gotten a little beaten up over the years from bugs, bird and etc., so ordered a replacement set; really nice for all riding conditions and wouldn't ride without them!
Recently had a mishap that broke my right hand mirror housing, and the right hand Hand Wing along with it; as a result I rode my last 500 miles of the season without the right hand Hand Wing; boy, one can really tell the difference when only riding with one... I've had these on my '03 GL1800Afor the past 16 years and 200,000 miles; wouldn't be without them!
My bike is a 2003 GL1800A; I've had the Baker Foot Wings for years, and recently lost one of them, so ordered a new set; one is reminded how much these help out riding in cold & rainy weather - only when you lose one, and don't have the protection on both feet... A must have addition!
Unfortunately I had a minor mishap that broke one of my original color matched mirror housings, and was appalled by the price tag for a new OEM complete mirror housing from Honda: I purchased these, together with the Muth Mirrors with the blue glass and amber LEDs, and they look great! Both sides new, with superior mirrors with LED's for less than the price of one complete OEM Mirror from Honda!
I purchased this for installation on the right-hand side of the handlebars of my 2003 GL1800A. Got it mounted without any issues, and my i-phone 8 fits in the holder just fine... Only gave 4 stars, because I would have preferred to have the Chrome Perch mount rather than black, and when I asked the folks at WINGSTUFF, they said they could substitute the Chrome Perch for the black one, but that didn't happen... Anyway, looks like it should work just fine; holds the phone snuggly...
I have the ChromeWerks combination driver backrest and passenger armrests on my '03 GL1800A, so I bought this hoping to somehow make it work for a passenger cup holder; with some help from my local Ace Hardware store, I found a u-bolt that fit in the holes of the Ciro Ball Mount Perch, and mounted the Perch horizontally on the chrome arm that the armrest pad sits on, and it looks like it will work just fine!
Installed very easy and looks nice & sturdy; just gave it 4 stars because my favorite cup, a Contigo with the snap shut lid fits too snugly in the rubber holder around the bottom, and I haven't been able to find another cup that I like as well as my Contigo, that has any smaller diameter bottom...If you have any suggestions for an alternative cup, please let me know.
Great manual for the 2006-2010 Honda Goldwing and very detailed.Only thing is for what they charge, they no longer include the 3 ring binder for the manuals!
This is the first chrome part I purchased for the Trike. It gives it a completely different look. With the chrome timing chain cover I purchased the whole front of the engine will be chrome and looking great. If you want a great look for your Wing, I suggest a new chrome cowl.
This is a great cup holder and will hold the big 32 and 44 oz. cups. You can keep hydrated all day because you don't run out of something to drink. the chrome rig is a great look also.
