First off, this is my third Goldwing. It is the first time I had a right off stand. One thing I do not like about it is that when on the doubles it wobbles more than the standard stand. I checked the tolerances on the original stand against the new stand, and the new stand had more play in it, than the original. When you go to get on it on the doubles it tends to wobble more than the original stand. I have noticed when you write off the stand does seem to stick a little bit before coming all the way up. As far as the spring goes, I had no problems getting it on or off. I used a quarter inch flat head screwdriver about 6 inches long and put it over the resting pan and it seem to go right up there. It seem like the original was done out of metrics and the new was done SAE.
Great deal on the exact factory brakes that came on my GL1800 & quick shipping
I received a call from Frank, the owner of F4 windshields....sending me 2 small washers. Then I received a follow up call from the Wingstuff Sales and Customer service manager to make sure everything was OK. This is only the 2nd problem I have ever had with a Wingstuff transaction in the last 15yrs, and once again, I am a happy camper. Prompt, courteous service from 2 top notch companies set the bar very high. You can't get any better than that!
work very well and look great they were pretty easy to install took about 3 hours.
Firstly I am happy with the switch and love the way it looks on the bike but have only scored it 3 stars for a couple of reasons. As also mentioned by another reviewer the wiring entering the switch housing is not attached securely or weather tight leaving wiring protruding out of the sheath. I have got around this by warming the sheath until it was soft enough to twist into the switch housing and be sealed into place. For the money I would expect a better quality finish and attention to detail. The other short coming was the length of the wires... plenty to get the positive and earth through the bodywork to the battery but the two switched wires are nowhere near long enough to get under the bodywork by the tank and be attached to accessories at the rear of the bike. These need to be connected prior to being fished under the bodywork otherwise they will not reach and as in my case you will have to remove the wiring and start again fishing the wiring through. All for the sake of an extra foot of wiring
Paid extra to get F4 vent already installed in the windshield. It doesn't fit correctly, moves left-right and up-down in the hole and rattles. The bolts are tight. I could have used my old one and had no worse a situation to deal with. I will write another review later to let everyone know how you F4 did or did not handle this.
For the price, I expected better quality... installation was pretty easy though. The leading edge is just held on with adhesive tape...curious to see how long that holds up with wind buffering.
Very subtle accent, you have to really be looking for it to notice right off. But it does add a nice subtle shiny spot
This is a great accent piece for the front of the bike. I laid it on there and took it off again, now I can’t even imagine not having it. Really nice looking.
Wow these suckers are bright!!! Way better than expected
Look super nice! Didn’t realize how much I really didn’t like the factory ones until I got these put on, they look great!
The install was easy and the ride is smooth. As for extra mileage on tire wear I'll have to get back to you, this is my first time using these.
