| Have 07 goldwing and ride a lot. Got 15,028 miles out of a set I purchased 11 months ago. Probably ride 2 up 70% of the time. Had about 1 1/2mm tread depth when I decided had to be replaced. Handled well & never noticed any particular problem making noise as they began to wear. This is a good tire for touring bikes. |
| The shipping container was HEAVY. To my surprise these are beefy ELF boards. The instructions are clear and the attachment takes about 15 minutes per side. You only need a set of metric hex keys and an 11mm wrench. They attach to your engine guards, and the stock plastic that originally cover these goes in your "parts box". Unless you look closely, you don't notice any cosmetic abnormalities when complete. If you mount the L shaped piece "high" and towards the rider (different than that shown in the picture here), the boards stay up if you want them to, but they're pretty when down, The alternative choices of solutions require you to monkey with your valve cover screws...this is better in my opinion. I recommend this product. |

| Not a 5 because getting the bolts threaded required an act of Congress. After I finally got that done (had to reposition several times to get the angle) it looks and feels amazing. |
| Fit and work great on my 1987 Honda Goldwing GL1200 Interstate. They came pretty fast too. Because I was replacing old ones, the install was easy. But if you are putting them on for the firs time, read the instructions carefully and take your time. One thing you should know that will help is that I had to insert star washers between the plastic washers to stop them from turning while riding at speed. The plastic washers don't permit them to tighten up enough to not get un-adjusted while hitting wind. They do come with a small lock washer on the tops and bottoms, but it certainly isn't enough. A good product though. Just needs more washers. I don't want to torque on the knobs too hard as my old ones broke as a result. I found the star washers helped them not turn in the wind without as much tightening. |
| I installed tires at a shop for years . The Dunlop offers a sturdy construction and I feel safer then some other brands . |
