I just love it. Took me about an hour (just puttering around) to install. Been out with and without the wife on the back. A better backrest for less money than some of the "standards" out there. What a deal. |
This is the FIRST piece of chrome I put on my 1800 last year. Chrome quality is excellent, provides a little larger foot print so you don't sink into hot asphalt/dirt/gravel so easily. Much beter looking than the OEM or other aftermarket units I looked at. It's made to work with floorboards, ie, it is not suppose to cause interference when floorboards are installed. This was a considderation for me at first, but since decided against floorbboards all together. |
DANGER - BEWARE THIS ITEM WILL STOP YOUR 2006 GL1800 FROM WORKING WHEN YOU PLACE THE CHROME ITEM ON YOUR BIKE. THE BIKE WILL NOT RECOGNISE THE KEY AND IS RENDERED USELESS AND THE BIKE WILL NOT WORK. IT WILL TURN OVER BUT NOT START. |
Overpriced and have had to grease the pivot point on the shifter three times in two years. All the rubber came off within a matter of months, although Rivco was great about sending replacements free of charge. However, the glue they sent with the rubber was hard and unusable, but I made do with contact cement. If I had it to do over again, I would try the Kuryaken. |
A great addition, especially for those that want/need the versatility of adding a cooler rack or simply towing. I highly recommend getting the wiring harness and having both installed at the same time. |
Easy to install, less than 10 minutes. Look great from all angles and really dressed the bike up. |
This flag lasts about 15000 mile depending on your average speed and weather conditions. Here in Southern California I get about 6 months on one before I have to replace. It is well built and holds up well. |
This really does work well. Especially here in Southern California. I ride in all types of conditions, but when it is hot, this product shines. |
I really like this air filter. I will admit to being biased. I have used K&N air filters for over 20 years in different vehicles and they have always performed very well. This one is no different. Just clean it on your regular service intervals and you will never have to replace it again. |
This is a product I thought I would really like. Turns out I was wrong. It changes the balance of the bike on the stand and it makes it much more tippy. |
I really like these tires, they last well, I have 13,000 miles on the current set and will probably get another couple thousand on them. I ride Ortega Hwy. twice a day and travel about 130 miles a day on average. These are good on the twisty bits and the freeway. They were a bit slick when first put on, so be careful when first installed. They are also pretty good in wet conditions. |
This is the cover I finally settled on after trying quite a few. It takes up almost no room, is reasonably durable and goes on in no time. It is also stands up to wind gusts well. Helps with the heat in the summer and is pretty good looking on. |
