Compared them all, and decided on the best. Install was a few hours. Ball may seem close to the fender, but it is the perfect position. This is a six point mount-2 subframe, 2 lower frame and 2 upper frame. Then I stood on the ball (187 lbs.) and nothing tweeked. |
have the chrome one on for 2 years, and just love the light output. Running or brake light setup, these add alot of light to the back of the bike. If you just have a single back light assembly, you really need this for more visability on the back. |
A must have light conversion. Adds super visability to the back spoiler. One of the first things I added to the bike. Very easy install. |
Unfortunately these have a poor reputation to over come before they can be considered a contender for the serious rider. Metzeler has in the past provided the motorcycle community with some great tires. Sorry to say when it comes to the GL1800 they are a crap shoot at best. It appears the rear tire failures out weigh their previous efforts for having a quality tire. Similar to Dunlops EIII's they need to go back to the drawing board. If I'm going to pay more for any given tire it needs to be worth it. Like the EIII's from Dunlop, if you should be lucky enough to get a good set you're a happy camper, if not you're like me saying never again until they can prove their worth. |
now this is a real awsome add on product. real back saver a little problem with getting on and off but can live with it. i like it better than having to cut my seat like the other models thanks |
this product is made for short people. i am 6'0 and if you put them where your comfortable, they will scrape " very dangerous" some what uncomfortable but nice looking. |
Instruction were unclear on mounting. After a couple of months the chrome started to peel off. |
Sorry CHUCK had such a hard time but, overall I think this a quality product for the price. The black and white pictures were only slightly helpful. It seems hard to justify $400 for this product from another manufacturer. I will recommend this hitch to my freinds. |
A ROYAL PAIN IN THE A*** TO INSTALL. A IDIOT DESIGNED THIS. WAY TO MUCH PRYING AND CUSSING TO INSTALL A HITCH. THE BOLTS ARE NOT LONG ENOUGH AND I STRIPPED OUT ONE AND HAD TO GO BUY A DYE SET TO RETHREAD IT. AND THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE A JOKE. THE PICTURES ARE IN BLACK AND WHITE WITH POOR DETAIL. WE HAD TO GUESS WHAT WENT WHERE. TRIAL AND ERROR GOT US THRU. BUT I WILL NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ADDONS AGAIN. |
It took the better part of 15 minutes to get the new boards on -- the detent issue was a non-event. After a test ride, my wife said that they're more comfortable than she'd hoped for. (Yipee!) When she's comfortable I'm comfortable. Ya'gottaloveit... |
I like the looks after adding few chromes to my bike. This is tad plain but yet helps add some chrome on my handle bars. Its not as strong as i expected it to be but its strong enough to screw and leave it. |
hate to repeat what other says but its all true, simple to install and it added feature to the front of my trike. It feels more sporty. Its definitely recommended to buy this due to the looks and it adds characters to ur bike. |
