These look good when you are all done. The installation is a bit of work - be careful with the removal of the stock vents. Sure beats the black stock look. |
Fantastic product! I took it with me on a recent 4 day trip. On and off with ease. Shake the rain off. Bundles up and fits in it's bag with no problem. This is a must for everyone who does any traveling and wants to keep prying eyes off their bike when parked for an extended period of time. |
Nice addition but just go ahead, bite the bullet and get the driving lights too. The lower cowl with the driving lights REALLY dress up the bike. Best price too!!! |
I think the product make the bike look a lot better. I didn't put the cam in the fit was tight should not need the cam to keep it from rotating. The direction are misleading right and left should be clutch or throdle sides. If I do need the cam I hope that I will be able to get them apart. They do fit very well. |
I put one of these on my wife's helmet. For some reason she breaks the clamp off the other style every year. This is a nice headset for the money and I don't have to replace it every year. |
Finally bought this item. It does NOT work directly with the forementioned driver boards, nor does it work directly with stock 07 GL1800 foot pegs. The front mounting hole has a boss that is about twice as deep as the rear, so it had to be machined down. Once that was done, a test found that is is basically useless as a heel rest, unless if used with thick heeled boots. I was looking for a higher heel peg like my old 85' Aspy, but it seems none are made. |
These Headsets are Great! The installation instructions I thought where lousy, they wanted me to start cutting on my helmets, my helmets didn’t need to be cut, no directions for that… But the Headsets have good clear sound |
I have a backrest on my GL1100 when I bought an 1800 this was the first thing I added. Easy to install great for a passenger to get on. I only wish it went back a little further. |
i really do not know why everyone is unhappy with this product...installed the way the directions advised...have heat, no extra glue, feel comfortable...stay where they supposed to....love the large grips and added a throttle boss |
This is a nice item. You don't have to pull off the lower front cowl to install them. Really easy install. Timing cap requires 13 ft. lbs. That's not much torque. Nice chrome. I added the fender extension to protect them a little better. Looks really nice surrounded by a Colormatch front lower cowl. Solid material |
Easy install. They come in 2 sets of upper and lower. The lower allows for access to the spark plugs but, other work requires the tops to be removed. (not sure I like that idea) You may have to remove highway pegs to get them on. Dresses up those gray covers nicely. Solid material and nice chrome. |
Worst installation instructions from Kuryakyn yet. Installed by good old fashioned horse sense. (Sometimes it's better to toss Kuryakyn instructions aside) But, did manage to figure them out. This is a nice item. Got mine from Colormatch. Gives the front wheel a "finished" look. Once installed, they are pretty sturdy. |
