I too was concerned about how long the adhesive would hold the lights in place, but seven months in, a couple of thousand miles in heat and cold (and rain)... they are still in place and going strong!
Guess I got lucky on this one... it fits like it was custom-made for my rear fender... nice finishing touch!
Put one of these on each side... that plus the pouch on the back of the backrest, and my wife can put all the stuff she needs on a ride in them... Great accessories and very easy to install.
A definite must have for me... use the modulator during the day... at night, when meeting other vehicles, over to low-beam and leave this switch on all the time... that way there is plenty of light and plenty of visibility to on-coming drivers.
I trimmed the inside edges of the self-stick tape with an exacto knife before installation... figured I would avoid the problem of it depressing buttons I didn't want depressed... Nice finish to the area... I kept the black knobs so they would be easier to see...
I like the looks of it... easy install...
I had to add a washer to get the pole to line up. The staff screw does not want to stay tight. I had to add a piece of vacuum hose on to the antenna shaft so it would not make it ticking noise from hitting the antenna and now a year and a half later the chrome is peeling off. Yes, the flag does have a problem wrapping arond the antenna but usally will correct itself. The one good thing about it is that it does not get in the way when you want to use your luggage rack like the rack mount one due.
Excellent looks but for me, took more patience than I anticipated. This is an excellent value.
Okay... I chickened out on this one... took it to my dealer for installation... but, wow! Those cagers do back off when I touch the brakes! Worth every penny!
Easy install... great looks! One suggestion... toss the little straps that come with the fins and use some heavier plastic tie straps... Be sure you get them snugged up tight to the fairing when tightening the straps, lest you end up looking for one of them on the side of the road...
I like the backrest... it fits me well in the center position, and hits just right on my back... The wife, however, isn't as complimentary of this accessory... if she puts her feet up on the high point of the transformer boards, it is comfortable... but when she moves them down to the standard board height, the frame of the backrest rubs on her inner thighs and is very uncomfortable... Glad I have the transformer boards, or I would have to toss the backrest... As it is, I'm looking for something different that won't cause her discomfort.
One of the best and cheapest accessories we have added! This makes cruising without the cruise control a pleasure!
