THIS IS NOT A REVIEW> IT IS FOR INFO ONLY! EVERY brand of tire has someone who has a `horror' story, and says "never use this brand". I actually heard someone tout never to use an Elite 3 because he'd had a flat! DUH! He had a NAIL in it! Tires are a matter of preference. A stickier tire will get less mileage, probably around 10k. I hard tire will get more, but have a lot less grip to the road. Make your choice, and accept it as your choice. There are multiple stories for every single brand (Go to the motorcycle chat sites!). Truth is, the MAJORITY of tire issues are a lack a proper PSI. Honda sites tout 39 PSI front, 40 PSI in the rear. GO TO THE TIRE MANUFACTURER SITES AND CHECK! I went to the Metzler site, and they recommend 41-43 front, and 41-45 rear to help eliminate cupping (and use common sense, a soft sticky tire will cup faster, duh!). So if you are over 200 lbs, and think 40 PSI is fine, think again. Especially if you are riding 2 up, or pulling a trailer. Sticky will wear and cup faster. Hard will last longer but good luck in rain and tar spots. So again, make your own private choice. Every tire has good and bad. |
great dressup for the money, looks good, works good, i purchased just to get free shipping on my order, and glad i did
great for the money, do not recommend with hot drinks or cans due to the swivel(it will spill) i use with bottles and it does fine after a couple drinks out of it.it is great to be able to get a drink on a hot ride without wasting time stopping. also looks good and easy to mount
great product, easy install, plug and use well worth the money
this product was easy to install and added more comfort than any item i have added to my bike yet. i was worried about my height, i am 5ft 10 and was afraid of the comfort of use, but they are incredible. only made a few short trips since put on, but no problems yet and hopefully none to come.
easy hookup, plug and use,no problems, great product
Very nice product. Easy to install and they make a world of difference in apprearance compared to stock covers. Get them.. You'll like em!
While it is a nice rack two things are apparent. First, the directions suck. Kuryakin has you drilling hols through the inner lid for the back feet. Not a good idea. Take the lid cover out particularly if you have the navigation antenna mounted under it as I do. To ensure you have enough room between the backrest and the rack so that you can clean and polish I would mount the rack a full half inch further back than recommended by Kuryakin. Second, buy the larg washer for under the legs. They will ad stability and carrying capacity without stressing the plastic trunk lid.
Used it tow times so far. one 2000 mile trip and just got back from a 6000+ trip. pulled a HF trailer loaded and once the bike got blown over while parked with my wife on it. no twisting etc. Very happy with it. Just bought the Rivco Cooler rack for it. fits and works great also.
A Must in hot weather. Adds so much that my wife says she gets blown around if open all the way.

Just got back from a 6000+ trip and they worked out great. My wife loved them. One thing though, I cannot get over the fact that you have to use some of the old hardware from the old boards to install the new ones. Now I am not able to sell the old ones. I guess that is the idea. |
