Once installed on the bike you will like this hitch. It's sturdy and the back plate is easily removed for tire service. Why three stars? Because the bolt on mounting clips that hold the chrome attachment pieces to the case guards had the bolt holes drilled incorrectly on one of the pieces. Had to do some metal working to get the parts to fit.
Even though I did not purchase this thru Wingstuff. I do like the hitch but the instructions have something to be desired. The trunion bolts hit the saddle bags and will have to be trimmed and will not be seen or damage the bags. Now as for the crash bar mounts. The left mount did not mount right and hit the passenger floor board. It will not raise up after putting it down. I looked at another bike and the chrome mount is shapped different. I will look into trying to adjuct the crash guard a bit and if it doesnt work then I will have to return it.
Being 6’4” I have need as much leg room extension I can get. These extensions allowed me to adjust the peg out and up to give me the leg room I need and the ground clearance I require.
Yes...another must have item!!!
I'd be happy to advertise for WingStuff, but I am not going to pay them to do it. This would be a great marketing tool for WingStuff if they'd throw one in with every $50 order. I'd wear them and hand them out...
Sorry to disagree with most of you. Although it was tricky to install, it went on as advertised (radio antenna side) and never came loose. As the instructions state, no washer is necessary - antenna will fold down to the inside of the bike (under the cover). If your flag pole came off then you didn't put it back together correctly. Set screw and washer prevent them from coming apart. Aside from the tricky install, it is a good buy.
Great product!! Speakers are slim and microphone is slim and not bulky. Installs great and I am really happy with the fit and sound. Buy this one.
I just installed it and it went just like Steve Saunders said it would. There is a link on Utopia's website to his video. I really give it 4.5 stars as there is still a little give to it but overall looks installation and use is great. Momma likes it because there is no bars rubbing her legs!

I agree with others-2/3 thirds full and they work great. Well made and seem like they will last. My 84 wing came with liners (what happened Honda?) Which I still have-these seem as well made as those did-and if I get 25 years out of these!!?? ;-) Very good buy and usefull. Dave |
Looks great and easy install. Would have been easier if tie wraps were longer. Let it set overnight and then road for about 50 miles and stays right where it was mounted.
Good to have on hand. Minus one star for the price and the fact that they should come in a 3-4 four pack.
Great piece of mind. Comes nicely packed and neatly stores on the bike.
