This is outstanding and very easy to install. Only took me 15 min. Adds to the look and safety of the bike...

Not happy with this windshield at all. 1. it was hard to install in my 06 GL1800 (vented version), it was more rounded than should be and when all bolts were tightened it stopped sliding. I had to left the mounting bolts loose to allow moving the windshield up and down. 2. The bottom part of this windshield toches the cockpit at the lowest position and being scrached from the inner side. 3. I have ridden with this windshield (not too much 100-200 miles) when cold (high 30s) no difference in buffeting compared to stock at ANY position of the windshield. This is personal as I opened the season with new windshield. Passenger felt the same as myself - no difference. For my short hight - 170cm - I always look through the windshield. Therefore: 4. My windshield was not optically correct. It distorts. 5. The vent is located too hight for me, so when riding slow at the close distances I can't look under my front and see the car tail clearly. 6. It looks 'strange' to me when installed. Especially fully lifted. I rated it 3 stars because it is still possible to ride with this windshield with less comfort though. I am switching back to the stock. |
I downloaded the supplemental instructions the same night I ordered the hitch, read them before I got the hitch so when it arrived 2 days later it was a piece of cake to put in took me an hour and 15 minutes to install that included clean-up and polish last 4 bolts neede a little push and grunt but no big deal. Would recommend to anyone well worth the money and ease, my wing is an 08 thanks wingstuff as always a winner
Very nice radio. I had it installed in just under 2 hours. If you do the instsll yourself do not take the trunk off. There is no need to. After you take the seat off, move the big gray connector to one side and you will see the mark on the trunk that has to be drilled for the wire harness.Drill a pilot hole first then use a hole saw to finish. there is plenty of room to do this. And also you do not have to take off the shelter above the tank,i removed all the fasteners per the instructions then just lifted the shelter up and propped it with a short 2x4. Plenty of room to get the connectors plugged in. Doing the install this way will make life easier.
Very cool fits the key fob perfectly and protects from inadvertently hitting the buttons while it is in your pocket as well as protecting your dash, on the downside those with big fingers will find it a little hard to get to the smaller buttons, but it's a trade off.
Awesome product! A must for the first oil change, gives a little piece of mind. Recommend the honda synthetic oil as well I have 1100 miles on my wing currently and since the synthetic the shifts are much smoother and don't klunk as much.
I agree with all the other reviews, great product easy install. The white plastic protective coating on it is a bit of a pain and be sure to wear gloves the edges are sharp and can slice a finger. The front part disconnects easily for oil change via the fasteners, but the main pan is a pain to get off if you ever need at something underneath it. I rate 4 stars as this was the more expensive belly pan and I chose it because it was stainless steel, but like others have said the material is a little thin for my liking.
I have sold the backrest.
Love it. I've waisted money on three or four other brands, but have now finally found here a drink holder I like. Only problem I had was, the metric bolts for the Goldwing mounting were NOT long enough. A quick trip to hardware store fixed that. Haven't heard of anyone else having that problem, so I assume it was just my packaging that got effected.
I love the extra light especially at night so I can be seen. I had a little difficulty installing them. The radius of the lights did not match the side bag contours. Took a little time with a dremel and a paint remover heat tool (eletric) to get the contours to match but they're on now and I love the look!!
Very simple product to install. Instructions explained what I needed. I had a 5 wire on my trailer so it wired up very nice. It took me about 30 minutes. The hardest thing was fishing the power wire up to the battery.
Looks and feels great. Easy install. Would highly recommend that you put 4 or 5 small lines of glue only half way up the throttle sleeve and then take a piece of cardboard and smooth it out before starting the grip. Once you start pushing the glue will flow to the end and you wont end up with excess oozing out. Whatever you do, don't stop pushing the grip until you get it exactly where you want it to go. If you do, that's where it will stay, FOREVER, and make sure to cover the top shelter to prevent any glue from possibly dripping on the fairing.
