Well...I just mounted these Hand Wings the other day and had to do some tweaking to avoid a future paint scratching problem. The rubber pads provided in the kit to protect the paint are not ideal for this purpose since they are too thin. So, I edged the body side of the plexi panel with a 3" strip of black door edge molding and installed a small, round, clear, 1/8" thick, silicon pad on the bodywork. No more worries...ever! I'll post again later about the longer term performance of these Wings as I begin to put more miles on them. |
It's almost to big for the rack but it will work if you don't put heavy things in it. Might break your lid on the goldwing if you fill it full. The bag is made good for the money.
It took me almost 2 hours to install because I had to run A tap down the threads and you need to use A 5/16" drill bit. It's A good rack for the money just takes time to install it right.
I thought this shield would be better for protection, but it is not. It should have a little flip at the top to help with the wind. I am not happy at all with this shield as it does not have anymore wind protection than stock. I would not reccomend this shield.
Bought one of these windshields and it was fine until a truck going the other way on a two lane road threw up some small rocks and the windshield not only cracked, but it took a chunk out of the windshield on the top left hand corner. I have been riding for years and have never seen anything like this. Also, I showed two different Honda Motorcycle dealerships the busted shield and they had never seen anything like it. I called Memphis Shades and they told me too bad and that it was road hazard and they would not do anything about it, nothing at all, therefore, I am not going to ever buy a Memphis Shade again and I hope you don't either.
Good shirt with a good price!

Not much to be said except it's a comfortable shirt!!

Great cover for the price you pay. Perfect for keeping that dew off your seat and controls!
You have to get this if you have the ISO grips. $17 investment is worth the extra wiggle room you will have in your hand!

I love Kuryakyn products and had these grips on my previous bike (non-heated version). I can tell you I love the big cushion grips and they are much better than stock. Problems I have is it takes a LONG time for the heat to transmit where it's needed. On the install, I actually cracked the plastic grip trying to tighten it - if you get them do not tighten too hard. I give it a solid 3 out of 5. |
