Just had these installed on Wednesday and have only been able to put aprx 220 miles on as of Thursday night. After the first 100 miles to "scuff" them, I started pushing it further. I drove around Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) around Victory Circle (goes around entire grounds), and was able to take some curves at 60+ with no wobble/slip/anything; just sat tight and went on around. I used to run Avon's on my 1990 Yam Venture Royale and had excellent luck with them, so, when I seen these on the market some time back, I knew I wanted a set for my 2006 Wing. I have run the Metzler 880's and wont do that again. Only time will tell, so I'll try to remember to post something later, after I get a few miles on them. I DID go with the 70 series on the back, and I really think thats the way to go.
Easy install, just follow the directions. Like others have said this should be a standard item from the factory on Honda's Flagship bike.
Excellent piece. Good quality and nice shine up front.
This is an excellent product. Good quality and nice bling for the area.
I had these on my 1500 I dont know why I waited so long to put them on the 1800.. These are a must have. Alittle harder to insall on the 1800 (requires drilling) but not to difficult.
I am getting a second one, this is great feels like you are wearing a little A/C unit on your chest. The cooling effect lasts me about 3 hours or about one gas tank. So when I fill up I wet down the vest.

Absolutely a great product. Have had this for awhile and on everything but soft sand and have not sunk in yet. I have the Kuryakyn floorboards (KU4038)which this pad will hit on the bottom but have not had any issues with. If I lean hard over on the left side this pad will drag a little and you will notice a spot where you hit the ground but still no problems. I have tried the aluminum disk (which cracked in half), I tried the plastic foot (which bend in half) and a lot of other items all of which you have to get the bike up and then get the disk off the ground, even with a string attached its a pain. This just stays attached to the kickstand with an allen set screw and you are good to go. A must have item and worth the price. |
I had these installed when I bought my 1800 last August. I really like them. Could they be more visible? Sure. But hey, if it allows the folks driving near you in a cage to know what you are up to, it has to make your riding experience safer!

I realize I'm just echoing the comments of everyone else, but this is the backrest to own. Don't sweat cutting the seat. The directions (and the video you can watch online) show you exactly what to do. Take your time and you'll be fine. My wife loves it. She does't have to "straddle" any braces or anyting. Comfortable? Oh yes, and adjustable. You gotta get one. No really, you do. ;o) |
it is a great replacement for a scratched windshield...have had it for 5 months and have no scratches from cleaning and the bugs are bad in Alberta and have been forced to use squeegie at gas station no issue
Fairly straight forward hook up and installation .Hooked trunk light into backoff xp looks awesome when the brakes are applied
This really looks great
