Motorcycle Tire Ceramic Balancing Beads
ITEM CODE: PG27738

09.01.2009
Put the dynabeads in a new stone on the front and a new Kuhmo, 2oz in the front & 3oz in the back of the gl1800. Ran front tire at 40lbs and rear at 34lbs. Front cupped just like it did on the last one, and both tires hopped badly at high speed. My friend used them too, and it appears that they work well if your tire needs no more than 1/4 oz. Tires that need more weight don't balance very well with them. Just replaced my tires w/new ones, used balancer this time...OK to 130mph.

Installed in one hour. I love this rack! Sits high so I can wax my bike easily, yet it carries a low enough profile to look cool from any angle (NOTE: I do have a spoiler though). Make sure you position it on your deck so you can get your hands in to all areas when waxing. Visualize the finished product several times and practice before drilling and you'll be fine. Also, don't over-tighten.

Avon Cobra Chrome Radial Tires for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG23038

08.31.2009
Installed the Cobras at 12,400 mi on 2004 Goldwing; put 60s on rear. I drive approx 80% time at highway speed, the rest on paved twisting country roads. First, the negative - there's a small but noticeable wobble at speed between 10 and 20 mph. Don't know why. All of the recommended remedies & fixes on the Goldwing already made (NOTE: My Mechanic even rebuilds wrecked cycles for insurance companies - he knows all the tricks). Now the positives - at speeds after 20 mph, you're in for the ride of your life! I used to listen to the radio on my Dunlops, now I don't. I prefer the quiteness. I tend to run 80 mph, all the time and nearly everywhere! Passing 18-wheelers, no problem. Rain, no problem! I did change the front tire though. Called AVON, they authorized a switch. But, the second tire still has the wobble at speed under 20 mph such as the rare times I am stopping. I've so far put 4,000 mi on the set, will put 400 this weekend just for the fun of it!

Just finished 4,000 miles with these. Mixed opinion. They are not uncomfortable.
They do seem to keep you a bit cooler in hot weather. In cold weather I would take them off so your seat heater can be more effective.
Also After several hours, I remove them just to change the circulatory patter in my posterior.
So good and just okay would be my rating.

Be sure you take them of every month to clean the seat and let the seat foam "breath".;

10,000 NYC cabbies can be wrong. AND they are cheap.

Next year they will have chrome!

ISO-Grips for use w/OEM Heated Grips for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU6183,   SKU: KU6183

08.31.2009
WOW, what a relief. No more shaking the hands to wake them up with the small stock grips. It took me about 5 minutes to install both over the grips but a bit longer to get them to snap together. I used a towel and 440 channel lock pliers to ease them together. I turned on the heat to level 5 and yes it is diminished but I always wear full gloves when I ride. Let's see if the Kuryakyn chrome holds up!

HyperKewl Soakable 3M Reflective Safety Vest
ITEM CODE: PG26644

08.31.2009
Ditto to what Keith said about this vest. To add: The first time I soaked the vest I noticed no slime!! The large pocket in the front comes in handy too. Something else I noticed right away; it does not have to fit tight to cool. With the vent on the windshield open and traveling at highway speeds I was very comfortable with temps in high 90's.

Good looking easy to fit need a pit or a ramp must be able to get under the bike, on the front part I had to use two self tapping screws to keep the two out side edges together.

Half Helmet Headset for Gold Wing Built-in System
ITEM CODE: IMHSG140P,   SKU: IMHSG140P

08.29.2009
I developed cervical disc bulges so had to go to half helmet. I use CB and listen to music through my FF helmet, so needed a good set for HH. Came across this one and was worried about the price (considering J&M wants $250 for "stereo quality sound" version.

BUT I was very, very surprised at the quality of music sound!! Outstanding and of equal quality to the J&M stereo set in my FF. Other riders say CB sound is normal.

HOWEVER ONLY ONE PROBLEM. Who ever designed these headsets has not worn them for more than an hour. They don't stay on ears well, and begin pressing your ear lobe to the point of pain. I have learned to bend the heck out of them, then went a step further and glued a 1 inch thickness of foam to the ear pieces and now they are comfortable (sort of).

I DO agree with the other reviewer, you need to get a clip and hold the cord to your coat or vest to take pressure off the left ear piece.

For the money I would recommend them, wish they were of different design. I'll probably do a little more modifications to these this winter.
