On long trips I pulled a trailer with my 1500 GW. When I bought the 1800 I wanted to fly down the highway trailerless and the Pakit Rak Kit was my ticket to Freedom!
I also purchased the turn down tips for my exaust pipes. I love it!

Installed this hitch on my 2008 and brothers 2006. I recommend removing the mufflers no problem taking off or putting back on. Took about 2 hrs per hitch. Seems to be well built. Had to modify my bracket for my Kuryakyn LED Debris Rear Mudflap. Over all not to hard to install.

I have several of these JR's and they are great!! Everyone should have one on their bikes, boats, lawnmowers, and seldom operated cars. Great piese of equipment. If they stop working send them back to company and they will give a new one.

ITEM: PG01048

Very easy to install even with the though of drilling holes thru the trim molding. If you use highway leg extentions in the forward setting than the lower wings are about 2 inches too low for your legs to clear. I had to drop my highway pegs back one setting to get a good clearance for my legs. I did not install the shark fins on this wing just for the heat factor. Honda needs to come up with a tail fin cover for the radiator heat output at the back of the radiator opening to deflect some of the heat coming out away from your legs. The baker wings do an outstanding job of redirecting the air flow when you need to change things up some for your weather conditions. Wingstuff needs to offer the etched wings as an option. They are available from baker if you order directly from them.

Guardian WeatherAll Plus Full Cover w/ EZ Zip Rear Zipper Access
ITEM CODE: VL404039,   SKU: VL404039

This is my second cover for a second bike as my previous one got totalled. The cover held up very well for Arizona heat. The sun here will eat anything you leave it out in lomg enough. If you spend $25 grand or so for a motorcycle you would want a very good cover to protect your investment. A 4 star rating cause I feel there should be an inner liner at the back of the cover for the trunk area. If you zip it open when puttting on the cover it is not so much of an issue. But fully closed you can get some micro scratches from the cover if you pull it down across the back of the bike. If you want a cover for the dust when your parked for a short time or in your garage, then buy a cheaper cover. If your bike will be out in the weather for 8 to 10 hours a day. Buy a good cover to protect your investment..

Centramatic Stainless Wheel Balancers for GL1800
ITEM CODE: CTMGW100-102,   SKU: CTMGW100-102

I ordered the balancers and will soon be putting them on my 1800. The finish is a bit rough, but not horrific. The rear balancer will be hidden. No big deal. The front balancers will barely be visable (I have chrome brake rotor covers). Again, no big deal if they perform as advertised.

I am not sure testing them while the bike is on it's center stand is prudent or altogether wise/safe. As for testing in this manner, the rear wheel assembly would basically be floating with only the swing arm supporting the wheel configuration. This doesn't/wouldn't seem to compare to how the wheel and it's assembly would react when on the ground supporting the weight of the bike as it's being driven down the road. Hmmm . . .

Certainly, using a car tire for a rear wheel solution is not safe (there has been a lot written and there is a lot of published evidence that would speak against this practice). In fact, my 1800 mechanic told me about an accident that killed the driver and his wife where a car tired was used for the rear. The driver apparently lost control around a corner, which is what is typically written about when someone elects to use a car tire and when an accident occurs . . .

In my humble opinion, the extra miles offered, etc., by using a car tire is not worth the risk.

Anyway, I am expecting a great experience with these balancers based on all of the feedback. Except for how they look, all of the feedback reading many different boards tells me that they are the cat's meow - I'll let you know!

Centramatic Stainless Wheel Balancers for GL1800
ITEM CODE: CTMGW100-102,   SKU: CTMGW100-102

Having received these units, as others have said, very poor finish. Mine look like they were sand blasted and painted to a very rough finish, like sand paper to the touch. I had thought from the video that these things have a Moly oil in the ring? Why do mine sound dry when moving the bike by hand?
I have only fitted the rear so far as it cannot be seen. Started the bike on the main stand and let it run in 5th gear up to 80 kph indicated speed. My trunk lid was unlatched and was bouncing up and down. I do run a car tire on the rear but so far am not convinced about these things.
I am unlikely to fit the front units due to there ugly appearance and poor finish.

Trev.

Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PRRBBB,   SKU: PRRBBB

Great, works as advertised and easy install, just used a little liquid soap on he nips, used a small set of regular head pliers and they seemed to work better than needle nosers, my trunk on the 08 was very loose and with the luggage rack on it I was worried the next long trip would result in MORE damage, this is one of those SIMPLE BUT MUST HAVE items that honda should be installing at the factory, where ever the hell it is now!!

Mini Arms for Ergo II Highway Footpegs
ITEM CODE: KU4071,   SKU: KU4071

11.06.2009
Oh yah. I'm 6'2" and wished my highway pegs fit my long legs better. This did the trick. I really like the fact that on tight corners, with a lot of lean, the footpegs don't scratch the pavement. That always gave me quite the startle. It would be great if you could buy the highway pegs with the mounting included rather waste money on the long arm type that come with the pegs. Took about 15 minutes to install.
