I finally had to use it! I ran over a 3 inch screw in a parking lot. Naturally I read all the instructions, a throw back to "when everything else fails, try following directions." The instruction cards were perfectly readable even though they have been in the trunk for nearly 20,000 miles. Instructions were very clear and the entire procedure took only about 20 minutes (not bad for the first time). I did notice that the last twist and a half of the canister needs to be done quickly or the gas excapes from the inflation hose rather than going into the tire. My GL1800 was able to get to a gas station on only 2 CO2 cartridges in the rear tire. After that I rode 100 miles without a problem at normal driving speeds.
Just installed these and wish I would have when the bike was new. The trunk lid fits much better and using the pull technique as mentioned in the instructions I have no issue closing the trunk. The template is bang on and install was easy. I cut the template along all the lines not just the dotted one, ironed it flat. As mentioned earlier use a smaller bit first for a pilot hole (there is no room for error). When pulling the bumper tip through twist back and forth on the bumper body and it will pop in place, remember to use a compatible lubricant, dish soap works great. I'm hoping mine won't lean/deform by using the pull technique but time will only tell.
Really good for keeping off the cold wind and rain. Worth the investment.
Got the smoke color ones. Very easy to install. Does direct the heat away in the hot weather and allows you to turn them to catch the heat coming off of the radiators and send it back to your legs. Adds a nice look to the bike as well. Also got the deflectors for under the mirrors and they help alot to keep the cold wind off and rain.
Great hitch for the money. Very solid and light weight. I had the dealer install mine when I purchased the bike, it took him about 2 hours. I knew I made the right choice on hitches when the dealer said this was the one they recommend. I do wish there was a better way to hide the wiring connector. I'll have to look at what others have done. I also should have ordered it with the 6" drop instead of the standard 3" with the trailer I ended up getting.
Great product to keep the front end looking nice. It was fairly easy to install. Although it fits pretty good, I think there is still a little room for improvement. This is actually one of the cheaper accessories you can put on a Wing that makes a big impact on appearance.
look way better then the factory pegs and they match my ergo II highway pegs. along with my chrome frame covers and chrome peg mounts they really complete the side of the bike. very easy install.
what...no instructions ? i guess no instructions are just as good as some of the instructions these companies supply. once i determined how to install them it was pretty easy. very sharp looking. can't wait to install my chrome radio panel that should really dress that area up
these really dress up the side of the bike especially when you add chrome foot peg mounts and iso pegs. easy install the directions were pretty straight forward. be carefull they do scratch easy.
they really dress up the bike. easy install took about ten minutes
very nice addition to cover up those ugly rotors. not to hard to install although the directions are crappy. just take your time and lay everything out in front of you and reason it out.
