works pretty good until about 6 months the chrome started to peel, don't like the swing out to open the trunk, waiting for something better. other than that my passenger loves them
Just finished mounting mine to my seat. As everyone has said measure, measure and measure again. I don't have my seat on my Goldwing, we still have snow on the ground. I will upload some photos to my gallery that show you how it works if you have never seen it in action. Can't wait to try it out!
Love it. Gives total protection to my Goldwing and is easy to store.
Looks great. Pretty easy install; took about 45 minutes. Hardest part was running the wires to the mirror locations -- I eventually took out the pockets and that sped it up significantly. DEFINITELY the red and green wires should be reversed from what the instructions say, otherwise the running lights would be brighter than the turn signals. For newer GWs, the optional wiring adapter makes it plug & play, plus you get an extra pigtail for additional lighting accessories (waiting for my Muth mirrors). One star off for the reversed wiring colors in the instructions, plus you do lose the reflector capability. These are lights only -- but they're visible in daylight, so not too bad.
I bought a couple of these. One to keep in my bike and one to keep in the garage for everyday cleaning. Works as advertised. If your going to invest in this windshield, do your a favor and buy thr proper cleaner specifically designed for that windshield.
I ordered the +2 with the vent installed and replaced my 2007 windshield. There is absolutely no comparrison in the two. This is windshield is without equal in both quality and fit. I didn't experiance any problems putting it on and it is solid as a rock. Night driving is improved 1000%, you simply won't believe what you haven't been seeing. This is a product I highly recommend for every motorcycle out there. I will never ride without this windshield again. Buy it, you WILL see the difference immediately and you'll not be sorry. Install is relativelyeasy but takes a little time so don't get in a hurry, read the instruction carefully and you'll be fine. One tip however, you must replace the "tape" under the front nose cowl with the soft side velcro strips provided. I recommend buying a foot or so or additional velcro pieces so you can put more on than than provide to protect the screen inside the cowl. I did.
Best headlight bulbs on the market. I can't believe how much more area I can see and how much better I can be seen. Pricey yes, but worht the investment on pitch black roads, inclimate weather situations, and interstate riding.
I had to drill a hole for my security indicator light to come through and it still looks great. I also got the other panel cover and together it makes the difference. Just take your time and contour the panel covers and use some alcohol to clean the surface before applying.
This is the second set of grips that I have placed on mine. The first set started peeling so I sent them in for credit and purchased a second set. Now the second set has started peeling but this time it is only on the right grip but it has been only 3 months. I guess like the old saying 3rd time is charms or 3 strikes and your out. I will order the 3rd set and send back the others for credit again. Now as far as the comfort I do not believe that you can find any better.
Bought these for my wife's birthday a couple of weeks ago and installed them today. Very nice product, but had some problems with installation. The directions are adequate with pretty good drawings. When I opened the parts bag there were two extra( or so I thought)metal washers. You will need these! This isn't a hard install as far as being complicated the problem was putting the long 6mm bolts back through the hand rails and new bracket. The right side was easy but the left side for some reason was a bear to line up, after several curses and finally a bended knee and prayer they went in. At one point I thought I had stripped the female fitting inside the seat.I had to push down on the seat to get them to line up.Next the swing arms that hold the armrest cushions were different. On one side the nylon washers fit inside the bracket, as shown. the other side I could not get both washers inside the bracket ( this is where the two metal washers come in)The metal washers aren't shown in the swing arm install sheet but you will need them here. The wife does love them and that is the bottom line. They look very nice on the bike, too.
